JADAMBAA TSAGAAN-UVGUN
Chairman, The Information Technology, Post and
Telecommunication Authority (ITPTA)

Mr.Jadambaa Tsagaan-Uvgun is the Chairman of Information technology, Post and


Telecommunications Authority, an executing agency of the Government of Mongolia.
His background is a lawyer and he started his career as a lecturer and researcher at
the Political Education Academy in 2004.
Mr.Jadambaa is a founder of the Institute of Global Leadership Foundation and was
a Director of this Institute from 2006 to 2008. Through the Global CEO project, he
has demonstrated opportunities for well being and successful businesses in Mongolia.
Meantime he has been served as a Secretary of the Democratic Party of Mongolia
which made his political career successful.

BALGANSUREN BATSUKH
Chairman, Communications Regulatory Commission,
Mongolia (CRC)

Mr. Balgansuren Batsukh is a chairman of the Communications Regulatory Commission


of Mongolia, and was appointed in October 2012. Prior to this role, he worked as an
advisor in the State General Prosecutor's Office.
From 2006 to 2009, he worked as a Director of IP Network Division in the ICT & Post
Authority (ICTPA), the Government of Mongolia, and before that he worked as an
Executive Director, NewCom Technology LLC, and an engineer and a director of a
Division, the MiCom Company (the ISP) in Mongolia Telecom JSC .
He started his career as an IT engineer for DataCom Company, the first internet
provider of Mongolia after his graduation from the Mongolian University of Science
and Technology (MUST) in 1995. He is one of leading engineer, specialist, and pioneer
in connecting Mongolia to the Internet.
B. Balgansuren has 19 years of experience in network engineering, system
administration and consulting in enterprise system planning & analysis, architecture,
design, development, and executive management in the ICT sector.

Bayarbat has been working in the media field solely for the last three years out of his 12
years work experience in Communication and Information technology.
He has succeeded in many projects in the sector and played in a main role of
introducing the IPTV and OTT technology in Mongolia for the first time. He is Executive
Director for Media Group, which involved operations of a group of traditional media
broadcasters in Mongolia including websites and social networks.

Director of Product Development, Skytel
Group

He is in charge of marketing and business strategy of Skytel and Skymedia. Since 2009,
he has been working for ICT industry and introduced lots of market leading products.
He has also experienced in retail, distribution, service, property development, and food
production industries.
The challenge is to develop Skymedia into Mongolian digital mall from triple service
provider.

Ider has been working in media and marketing management for 11 years.
He has a master's degree in MBA from Institute of Finance and Economics.
He worked as a journalist with TV9, BTV and manager with Breakthrough
communications.
Mr Ider has been a senior marketing officer of Golomt bank since 2011 and an adviser
of Mongolian Industrialization Development Center since 2014.

He was working as a head of journalism department of MNUE and journalisteditor at Mongolian national broadcaster, chief-editor ''Tsagiin toli'' newspaper and
''Tentsver'' online.

In 2009 Amundra Amartuvshin led a project to found media group "Bodi International"
LLC and since 2010 has started working as a CEO at Mongol Mass Media LLC.
Affiliate companies that are under his management such as Edutainment TV, Eagle
News TV, Live TV, www.Eagle.mn, Toim Inc LLC (Toim magazine), Box Network
(specialized channels Sportbox, Moviebox, Ebox, Documentarybox), Khulancontent LLC
(on air, operates in content aggregator) are operating successfully and stable in media
market.
These companies produce contents, supplies and distributes them and operate to
provide Mongolian contents with specific national identity to world media market with
high technological requirements and continues to respect the intellectual property rights
of copyright by cooperating with worldwide known international news agencies and
buying the rights.

LHAGVA ERDENE
Executive Producer of News, Mongol TV

Lhagva has been trained in "Business and Financial Journalism" at the University of
Hong Kong's "Journalism and Media Study Centre" on a prestigious "Rotary
Ambassadorial Scholarship."
Previously he was interpreter for HK Judiciary, assistant to Deputy Minister of Finance
and coordinator for the CEO club of Mongolia.
He was recently voted in to serve as ethics committee member in media ethics council
of Mongolia and is a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum.

Managing Director, Maxima Media

After graduating Institute of Finance and Economy majoring in Business Administration,


Gombojav Otgonbayar worked as marketing specialist in various sectors such as
Finance, Communication and Media. Since he joined Maxima Media in 2012, just when
the company firstly introduced Television Audience Measurement, he was in charge of
training and supporting the clients to effectively use TAM service in their operation.
Within the scope of his work he wrote more than 20 articles and papers about
Mongolian TV sector and its trend, which was published locally and in foreign
professional magazines. Also, he worked as senior researcher and analyst in Maxima
Consulting, the holding company of Maxima Media, where he is in charge of market
research; among various kinds of researches he takes part.
He is now Managing Director of Maxima Media.

O. Adiya
Director of Policy and Advocacy for the American
Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia

Mr. O. Adiya is the Director of Policy and Advocacy for the American Chamber of
Commerce in
Mongolia responsible for designing, building and implementing the advocacy efforts of
Policy issues.
Adiya has extensive work experience in the private sector with Oyu Tolgoi, the
government, and
a number of development agencies including EBRD, UN and the SDC.
Adiya holds MBA from the University of Sheffield in UK. He obtained a thesis with
distinction.

Mr. Gantulga B. is economist and marketer started his career in 2004 from XacBank. In
XacBank he worked as Card Center manager, Customer Service Center Director, and
Marketing Division Director. From 2009 he started working in Monnis Group as
Marketing Division Director, and Chief Operating Officer. In 2014 he became Chief
Executive Officer and Board member of Suu JSC. Currently he is Chairman of board in
Duulian-2020, Board member of MNCCI, Fencing Association of Mongolia and Ard
Insurance.

GANTULGA. L
Head of Regulatory Department, the Communications Regulatory
Commission of Mongolia
MBA, Kyung Hee University, Republic of Korea in 2006.
He worked in the management of Mongolia Telecom Company, the State-owned
enterprise for several years before joining to the CRC in 2013.
A specialist of competition for the Price and Tariff Regulatory Department, CRC in
2013. He has been working as the Head of Regulatory Department since 2014. He has
been working in the sector for 10 years.

Mark Huang is the Representative of the Taipei Trade and Economic Representative
Office in Ulaanbaatar. He has worked in public service for nearly three decades,
serving at various important positions at local and central governments of Taiwan
before arriving in Ulaanbaatar in December 2015.
As the director of the Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar, Mr. Huang aims to
promote even closer relations between business and people of Mongolia and Taiwan.
In his spare time, Mr. Huang loves to play the saxophone, often performing for charity
at local communities in Taiwan with his band of friends.

Gunjidmaa Gongor
head of Research and Information department of
the Mongolian Press Institute and a board member of the Media
Council of Mongolia

Since starting his career as an IT engineer in ICT industry 10 years ago, Chinzorig
Ganbold had tested himself as an entrepreneur with few IT startup businesses and
leveraged his experience to consult Asian Development Bank and Financial
Regulatory Commission of Mongolia on developing Mongolian capital market
through ICT.
After being appointed to his current position, he has being leading the working
group on Broadcasting Law. Through this Law, he and his team are aiming to foster
fair competition, attract investment and raise standards in Broadcasting Industry in
Mongolia.

Gunjidmaa Gongor's profession is sociologist and journalist. She got a


Master of Business Administration; currently she is studying at PhD
program as a social science in MNU. She has coordinated successfully
over 100 researches and training projects to support an independent
and professional journalism while she was working in the Mongolian
media sector for last 15 years. For instance, Mongolian Media Today
annual statistical data book, Audience survey in media industry and
Media Critical Criticism etc. Recently, she is working on Mongolian
media self-regulation formation and Media Ownership Transparency
studies.

ULAMBADRAKH MARKHAAKHUU
TV EXECUTIVE

Ulambadrakh has been with Media Group LLC since 2006 as CEO of the group's
television network, NTV. As CEO, he has made it his priority to raise the company
standards by establishing the principles of independent journalistic values: accuracy
and objectiveness. While the media field is a very competitive and rapidly growing
market, Ulambadrakh has been able to create stability within the network and give NTV
a competitive edge by creating 8,000 minutes of original programming per week,
effectively raising its network ratings. Ulambadrakh headed one of NTV most popular
programs, "The World of Mongolia Families" which received high praise and captured
audience attention nationwide. In addition, in accordance with raising company
standards, Ulambadrakh also worked to eliminate copyright violations within the
company by being the first network in Mongolia to obtain the official rights to
broadcast Germany's Bundesliga. As well as establishing a content exchange with
Japanese television NHK.

Jeeyoung Lee
Heads of the format sales team of Endemol Shine Group,
Asia office
Jeeyoung Lee was Shine International director of North and South-East Asia prior
to the company merger with Endemol. Lee now heads the format sales team of
Endemol Shine Group - Asia office, based in Singapore.
She joins from Viacom International Media Networks where she was responsible for
international programme sales across Asia. Before Viacom, Lee worked for CJ
Entertainment & Media as head of global business development.

Jargalsaikhan Dambadarjaa
Economist, journalist, host

Mr. Jargalsaikhan Dambadarjaa (known as Jargal DeFacto) is an independent


economist and media representative of Mongolia. He is the host of Interview DeFacto, a
weekly television talk show broadcast on Eagle News, MNB and NTV in Mongolia,
featuring distinguished Mongolian and English speaking guests from across the globe.
Jargal also hosts Radio DeFacto, a live radio talk show aired daily on Business Radio
98.9FM, where he invites on air discussions of his most recent articles with listeners.
Jargal has a long career history in the industry including CEO positions in banking and
financial institutions, public office (Head of FIFTA, Board of Foreign Investment of
Mongolia), tourism and petroleum sectors. His volunteer and board positions include
Mongolians for Fair Taxes and Wise Spending, Mongolian Taxpayers Association
(President), Mongolian National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation MONPECC (General Secretary), Mongolian Association of State Alumni MAS
(President), Moscow State University Mongolian Alumni (President), Silk Road
Foundation (Chair) and The Economic Club of Ulaanbaatar (President).

Nicholas Dale
Vice President, Digital Partnerships & Brand Licensing for

Nicholas Dale is the Vice President, Digital Partnerships & Brand Licensing for
FremantleMedia Asia, based in the company's offices in Singapore.
At FremantleMedia Asia, Nick is responsible for leading the brand building strategy
for the company's entertainment properties on a pan-regional basis and in
coordination with local staff, broadcasters and production partners. This includes
pursuing new opportunities and business ventures in the digital and technology space,
social media partnerships and brand licensing based on their television franchises.
These global franchises include Got Talent, Idols, The X Factor, The Price is Right, and
Family Feud.
Originally from Los Angeles, California, U.S.A., Nick is a graduate of the University of
Southern California with a degree in Business Administration.

Khulan Jugder graduated with BA in Journalism from University of the Humanities and
MA in Journalism from University of London (2015).
She previously worked as a journalism instructor at University of the Humanities and
also worked as a contributor at Unoodor daily newspaper, Gereg, Gyalbaa,
UndestniiToim and Goodali magazine. Besides, she was an interpreter for Reuters team
in Mongolia in 2012-2013.

Nomin Chinbat
Executive Director, MongolTV

Nomin created Mongol TV, in 2009, which quickly developed into most viewed
independent channels in the country. Nomin produced Mongolia Got Talent to inspire
the unity of the Nation and showcase uniqueness of the Mongolian culture to the World.
She was elected as founding Chair of the Mongolian Media Council, the first selfregulatory body in the history of Mongolian journalism in 2015, in recognition of her

Gyeong-Min MOON
Director of Distribution & Business Development, North Asia

Gyeong Min is responsible for the sales success on Bomanbridge's expanding


catalogue, as well as identifying Korean formats and production talent for International
Development and Distribution. He also leads co-production projects with an ever more
ambitious Korean media landscape. Previously, Gyeong-Min has held positions such as
Senior Acquisition Manager for the broadcaster TCAST, a joint venture with FOX Korea.
He was also part of the Munhwa Broadcasting group, specifically managing
acquisitions over the channel MBC Plus Media. In 2002, he introduced the first
Japanese Drama "Yamatonadeshiko" from FUJI TV Japan to air in Korea
