Scope for integrated Architecture and Engineering services.

1. Architecture and landscaping
- Design of architectural project of all facilities according to Ecuadorian Standards and specific
regulation of Duran city council or municipality.
- Final architecture design: plan views, section and elevations.
- Coordination with other project disciplines (civil, structural, sanitary, environmental, process and
electrical engineering).
- Drawings of architectural details and interiors finishes (doors, windows, ceilings, walls, etc..)
- Design of outdoor areas like roads, fences, sidewalks and green areas.
- Preparation of other technical documentation:
Construction technical specifications
Bill of quantities
All necessary documentation that the final client will require to apply for project permits
and approvals.
2. Structural Engineering and design
- Analysis and detail design of all foundations, buildings and other structures according to
recommendations of the geotechnical report.
- Seismic analysis and design of al buildings according to Ecuadorian Construction standards (NEC-15)
and other relevant standards.
- Detail design drawings for construction.
- Coordination with other project disciplines (civil, structural, sanitary, environmental, process and
electrical engineering).
- Preparation of technical documentation:
Construction technical specifications
Seismic and structural engineering reports and calculations.
Bill of quantities.
All necessary documentation that the final client will require to apply for project permits
and approvals.
3. Sanitary Engineering and design
- Detail design of rain water drainage system.
- Detail design of the waste water collection system. The system comprises a collection system of
waste water from the process, bathrooms, cafeteria, laboratory, etc. All collected waste water will
be stored temporarily in a tank which size must be calculated. The waste water will then be
transported out of the factory in trucks to an external treatment plant. The discharge system from
the storage tank must be included.

Detail design of the water storage and distribution system. It is intended to receive drinking water
in trucks and the store it in a tank. This water will be used for the feed process and on all others
facilities at the factory (bathrooms, cafeteria, etc..).
Detail design of the fire extinguishing system. This service must include the design of the main
water storage tank and the complete distribution system throughout the factory according to
Ecuadorian standards and other relevant codes.
Coordination with other project disciplines (civil, structural, sanitary, environmental, process and
electrical engineering).
Preparation of technical documentation:
Detail drawings for construction.
Bill of quantities.
Motor and electrical component list.
Calculation report.
Technical specification for construction.
Technical specification for equipment.
All necessary documentation that the final client will require to apply for project permits
and approvals.

4. HVAC Engineering and design

- Air conditioning detail design for the following areas:
Locker/changing room
Cafeteria
Office building
Site security building
MCC room (MCC=Motor Control Centre)
Control room
Laboratory
- Detail design of ventilation (natural) for the raw material and finish product warehouse,
maintenance workshop, storage facilities and process building.
- Coordination with other project disciplines (civil, structural, sanitary, environmental, process and
electrical engineering).
- Preparation of technical documentation:
Detail drawings for construction.
Bill of quantities.
Motor and electrical component list.
Calculation report.
Technical specification for construction.
Technical specification for equipment.
All necessary documentation that the final client will require to apply for project permits
and approvals.

5. Road engineering and pavement design

- Detail design of roads and pavements of the plant
- Design of horizontal and vertical signs of roads
- Design of security and information signs outside and inside the buildings.
- Coordination with other project disciplines (civil, structural, sanitary, environmental, process and
electrical engineering).
6. Electrical Engineering and design
- Detail design of lighting all exterior areas (roads, pavements, parking space etc.).
- Detail design of lighting for all the interior areas (office building, process building, all warehouses,
etc..)
- Detail design of power outlets distribution for domestic (offices) and industrial usage.
- Detail design of the electrical sub-station. (primary transformers)
- Detail design of secondary transformers station.
- Detail design of distribution boards from transformers.
- Detail design of the generators facilities and integration into the electrical project.
- Detail design of Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
- Detail design of MCC room.
- Detail design of the earthing system (all places that it is required: sub-stations, building structures,
machine platforms, etc..)
- Detail design of electrical connection:
From high voltage electric lines 69KV (places outside Cargills land) to the new electrical
sub-station.
From the Electric sub-station to the secondary transformers and to the distribution boards.
From the distribution boards to all MCCs.
From the MCCs to all field devices (motors).
Control wiring from the MCCs to the field device like switches, solenoids, etc (24 VDC)
- All designs and engineering must be done according to Ecuadorian Standards and other relevant
standards or codes.
- Coordination with other project disciplines (civil, structural, sanitary, environmental, process and
electrical engineering).
- Preparation of technical documentation:
Detail drawings for construction.
Bill of quantities.
Electrical component list.
Calculation report.
Technical specification for construction.
Technical specification for equipment.
All necessary documentation that the final client will require to apply for project permits
and approvals.

7. Electronic Engineering and design

- Detail design of the fire detection system
- Detail design of the control system for pedestrian and vehicles
- Detail design of the CCTV system
- Detail design of the Ethernet network on the plant
- Detail design of the voice communication system (telephone lines)
- Detail design of internet connection (Optic fiber)
- Preparation of technical documentation:
Detail drawings for construction.
Bill of quantities.
Electrical component list.
Calculation report.
Technical specification for construction.
Technical specification for equipment.
All necessary documentation that the final client will require to apply for project permits
and approvals.
8. Environmental Engineering
- Preparation of all necessary technical documentation to support the permit applications. )The
permit application process will be Cargills responsibility).
9. Bidding packages and documentation
- Preparation of the bidding documentation which will enable Cargill to request quotations for the
supply of equipment, material and the construction and execution of the project.
- The following bidding package are expected to be prepared:
Bid A1: External works, Foundations, Drainage system and waste water system
(sub-package for earthworks and soil improvement)
Bid A2: Super Structures Mill tower, warehouses, Raw material intakes, etcc..
Bid A3: HVAC and fire extinguishing system.
Bid A4: Admin offices and other minor buildings.
Bid B1: Electrical sub-stations, transformers and power distribution
Bid B2: Switchboards (MCC)
Bid B3: Electrical installation materials
Bid B4: Electrical installation works
- Preparation of the following documentation:
Detail construction drawings for each discipline.
Bill of quantities for each discipline
Technical construction specifications.
Referential budget
Time schedule for execution.
Calculation report with design criteria.

Cargill has already initiated the permit application process. The 1st priority is to have the detail design of
the electrical sub-station and the fire extinguishing system completed in order to include them in the
draft version of environmental management plan.
11.Commercial terms
A Letter of Intent will be signed between Graintec Chile Ltda and the selected consultancy company to
initiate the works. A Contract for the services will then be signed with Graintec Chile Ltda, however
payments will be made directly by Cargill Ecuador to the consultancy company that Graintec will select.
12.Payment schedule
30% of the contact value as down payment
50% of the contract value with the submittal of bidding packages with 90% development.
15% of the contract value with the submittal of final construction documents
5% of the contract value on December 30th, 2016.
