Bylaw 2.10

SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS;

REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES

Each member of the Falls Church City Public School Board shall receive an
annual salary as provided by law.

No School Board, whose membership is elected in whole or in part, shall be

awarded a salary increase unless, upon an affirmative vote by such School
Board, a specific salary increase, within the limits set by law, shall be
approved. Every proposed change in the annual salary for members of the
School Board shall be adopted consistent with procedures mandated by law.

Actual expenses incident to performance of official duties by a school board

member may be reimbursed on presentation of an expense voucher with
receipts attached. Reimbursement is provided for mileage for use of a
private vehicle for travel outside of the Metropolitan D.C. area when
attending meetings of the School Board and in conducting other official
business of the School Board. Reimbursement will not exceed the rate
authorized by the Internal Revenue Service, United States Department of the
Treasury, for persons traveling on business and will be the same rate paid to
Falls Church City Public School employees.

The Falls Church School Board shall provide Errors and Omissions (E & O)
insurance, known as School Board Legal Liability, for its current and past
members while performing functions or services for the school division within
the scope of their authorized duties or authority to cover the costs and
expenses incident to third-party liability, including those for settlement, suit
or satisfaction of judgment, arising from their conduct in discharging their
duties or in performing authorized, approved or expected functions or
services for the school division. Criminal activities are not included for
coverage for any member within the scope of this coverage.
