7COMMITTEES

9There are no standing committees comprised solely of the School Board members.

11Special Committees of the Board

13Special committees may be appointed by the Chairman or created by School Board action. These
14committees shall be appointed or created for a specific purpose and shall expire upon completion
15of the assigned task unless School Board action authorizes temporary continuance of such
16committees. Unless specifically authorized by the Board, such committees have no authority
17except to make reports and recommendations, in consultation with the Superintendent, for action
18by the Board.

20Commissions, Boards and Other Committees

22The Chairman may appoint, with the approval of the Board, members of the School Board to
23serve as liaisons to various commissions, boards and committees outside of the school division.
24A liaison to City advisory Boards and Commissions who serves as the School Board
25representative will have those duties and rights provided by the City Charter or City Council
26resolutions. On any advisory committee, board or commission, a School Board liaison can make
27no commitment for the full School Board.
