RENEW GA 2016
A worship celebration and prayer service with Dr. J. Robert White
Climax Baptist Church
Monday, February 29, 2016
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
RENEW GA is a great opportunity for churches in Bowen Baptist
Association to gather for worship and to pray for spiritual renewal in
Georgia! The theme is Passionately praying, pursuing and preparing
for spiritual renewal in our lives, homes, churches and associations.
Dr. White will be the inspirational speaker for RENEW GA. He has a
passion for seeing renewal and revival in our state. We encourage each
church to pray for this event and to plan on participating. There is no
registration required and admission is free! Meet us there or call the
office to reserve a seat on the church van. Please contact Alan Folsom
at afolsom@gabaptist.org if you have any questions.

HANDBELL FESTIVAL
Our handbell choir did a great job and grew musically at a
handbell festival in Cairo last Saturday. Special thanks to each
of the ringers and their families who missed them while they
were away for the weekend. We look forward to sharing these
beautiful sounds with you.
WORSHIP
Special thanks to our Chancel Choir and Saints Alive Choirs
for sharing in the 11:00 AM worship service last Sunday. We
appreciate the sacrifices each of you make to help us focus our
attention on God. And, an extra word of praise to Tanya Crum
for her solo in Unspeakable Joy. Many folks said Tanya has
never sounded better. You are a blessing!
FELLOWSHIP CLUB
Seniors, join with us at noon, Monday, March 7, as Lynn Ray
shares gospel music at our monthly Fellowship Club
gathering.
Special thanks to the Ladies Choir for singing last Sunday
evening. You were great!
Art
There are two holes in our volunteer line up during the 11 am service. I am
looking for individuals to complete the Sundays for two ladies that have
recently moved. Sundays to volunteer are below. If you can make all but one
or two, it is very easy to trade out Sundays! Please consider volunteering to
oversee some pretty great kiddos!
Team #1 Babies-2s: Feb 28, Apr 17, Jun 5, Jul 24, Sep 11
Team #3 3s-4s: Mar 13, May 1, Jun 19, Aug 7, Sep 25
VBS!
Submerged: Psalm 139:23-24 June 20-24 (evening, times TBA)
It's time to get all our preparations for VBS! If you are willing to
donate a few supplies, please see the board in the Fellowship Hall and
take a paper fish with a supply with you. Fish are color coded by cost
of the item. Donated supplies may be returned to the basket outside the
church office. We really appreciate your donations!!
Calling all crafters! Or those who can trace and cut! If you are
willing to help decorate for VBS, please attend our initial meeting on
Sunday, March 6 at 4 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will go over
the big ideas and begin to divide and conquer on projects. NO previous
craft experience needed!
Rotation Leaders Needed! I am looking to fill all the rotation leader
positions, especially in crafts. Rotations include missions, recreation,
Bible story, and music. Is God calling you to serve this year?
IMPACT
Impact is a ministry for middle school, high school, and
college students to gather together for a night of worship,
prayer, and fellowship. The desire is for students to gather
together for one purpose as on people for the glory of one
God. The first meeting is set for Saturday, February 27th at
the Firehouse Gallery from 7:00pm-10:00pm. This evening
will be a great night of worship that crosses denominational
lines and will unite the people of God across this county.
Make plans to be a part of this night. This is a free event.
Snacks and drinks will be provided following the service.
Servant Saturday
Servant Saturday is an opportunity for our students to serve
the church and the city of Bainbridge. This is also an
opportunity for our students to put their faith into action by
becoming the hands and feet of Jesus. Our first Servant
Saturday will be Saturday, March 26th beginning at 8:30am.
We will have local service projects to complete during the
morning and then have lunch together. Save this date!! All
students and parents are encouraged to attend. Together we
can make a splash on the city of Bainbridge.
Blessings,
Jeff
