Backup and Restoration

Management
Backup and restoration refers to in-time restoration of a system to the available status
when the system is down, the database is damaged, users perform mis-operation, or the
system update is failed. Data backup refers to backing up the OMM configuration data
to disks. Data restoration refers to restoring the configuration data from the disks to the
OMM system.
Backup and restoration operations include querying the system object set, and backing up
and restoring data.
To prevent the configuration data loss or to restore the system quickly if any exception
occurs, the system provides the timed backup function. Timed backup can perform data
backup periodically according to the created auto backup policy and the task setting
conditions. The data backed up here only includes the data related to configuration.
Performance and alarm data are not backed up.

11.2 Backing up Data

This procedure describes how to back up the specified system object sets. After backup,
you can query the backup records by querying the backup logs. The backup file is exported to
a local disk or an FTP/SFTP server during the backup operation.

Note:
l Data backup should avoid peak traffic hours.
l The system cannot run any commands of the fault module, the performance module,
and security module when backing up their data.
l The system can run only the query command of the configuration module when
backing up its data.
