INTERNATIONAL WROCLAW MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2016

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Purpose
(1) These are the Terms and Conditions applicable to all services offered at the International
Wroclaw Model United Nations 2016 conference (or IWMUN).
(2) In the following the term conference and event refers to International Wroclaw Model
United Nations 2016 conference (8-10 April 2016, Wrocaw, Poland).
(2) In the following the term delegation refers to both: individual delegates and groups of
delegates partcipating in International Wroclaw Model United Nations 2016 conference.
(3) In the following the term organizers refers to Model United Nations Association Poland
and all companies, institutions, associations and foundations, and individuals (including but not
limited to International Wroclaw Model United Nations 2016 conferences Staff and Secretariat)
which are involved in partnerships with Model United Nations Association Poland for the
purpose of the organization of International Wroclaw Model United Nations 2016 conference.
Admission
(1) During the application process and at the time of the conference, each applicant must be
enrolled at university. Exceptions for applicants enrolled at high schools will be made on basis
of (2).
(2) A quota for applicants enrolled at high schools is set by the organizers.
Registration and Payments
(1) IWMUN has one registration round: 07.02.2016 to 02.03.2016. These dates are subject to
change by the organizers.
(2) Delegations participation in the conference will only be considered confirmed after all
conference fees have been transferred to and received by the organizers.

(3) The conference fee is 120 PLN or 30 EUR or 23 GBP per delegate. The fee includes all
costs of participation, materials, three lunches, and coffee breaks during the event.
(4) Social tickets are not included in the conference fee and are available for purchase
at the time of the conference fee payment, at the following prices: full social pack for 50 PLN or
12 EUR or 9 GBP or half social pack for 10 PLN or 2.50 EUR or 2 GBP.

availability of social tickets at later dates.


(6) All fees have to be paid to Model United Nations Association Poland via Bank Transfer.
Delegations must make a single payment of the fee within 7 days of receiving an e-mail with
payment details from the organizers. Model United Nations Poland will not cover bank charges
of any kind. In case the delegation fails to submit the fees within seven days after receiving
payment information, their registration may be cancelled.
(7) All university applicants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. The organizers
reserve the right to evaluate high school applicants based on merit, rather than accept on a
first come, first served.
(8) The organizers reserve the right to reject the applications they deem unfit to the profile of
the event.
(9) The conference fee is strictly non-refundable.
Liability
(1) Participants are expected and obliged to obey the laws of the Republic of Poland while
participating in the event.
(2) The organizers do not provide liability insurance for the protection of individuals or groups
who participate in the conference.
(3) Each individual and group agreeing to these Terms and Conditions releases and
discharges the organizers, partners of the organizers, as well as Secretariat and Staff of the
event, jointly and severally from;

a) any and all actions, causes of actions, claims, liabilities, costs, obligations and demands,
including without limitation attorneys fees and expenses for, upon or by reason of loss,
damage, injury, or death, which hereafter may be sustained by participating in any
activities connected with the event. This involves especially compensation, in part or in
whole, for losses, damages, injuries or deaths incurred at or in connection with the event,
b) the financial liability for all costs of damages of the facilities and venues of the events
and associated social events, caused by themselves.

(4) All offers and information published by the organizers, including but not limited to those on
their website, might be subject to change by the organizers without further notice.
(5) The organizers reserve the right to exclude specific individuals,

whose behaviour or

actions they deem unfit to the profile of the event, from its offered services.
Privacy rights
The organizers reserve the right to collect and use, also commercially, all data submitted by
individuals via the organizers website, sent to the organizers via e-mail, and collected during
the conference and associated social events, including but not limited to personal data, video
footage and photographs without limitations.
Web Disclaimer
(1) The information contained on the organizers website at www.munpoland.com is for general
information purposes only.
(2) All information on the website is provided by the organizers, unless stated otherwise. The
organizers make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the
completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the
information it contains.
(3) Through this website individuals are able to link to other websites which are not under the
control of the organizers. We have no control over the nature, content and availability of those
sites. The inclusion of any links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorse the
views expressed within them.

(4) Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly. However, the organizers
take no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, the website being temporarily unavailable
due to technical issues beyond our control.
(5) The Study Guides are accepted from their authors and placed on the website with the
assumption that approval has been acquired for any copyrighted material included. The
organizers will not be liable for copyrights infrigiments within the Study Guides, as only their
respective authors may be responsible and liable for their content. The Study Guides do not
necessarily imply a recommendation or endorsement of any views within them by the
organizers.
Country Assignment and Delegations Responsibilities
(1) Country assignments will take place after the closure of registration. Priority in assignments
will be given to delegations based on the merit of the applications, their MUN experience and
past performances during MUN Association Polands events. All decisions of the organizers
with regard to country assignments are final.
(2) Individual delegates are expected to be in their respective committee rooms during
committee sessions. In order for delegates to leave their committee rooms for an extended
period of time their Chair must be informed.
(3) All delegates are expected to abide by the committee dress code (western business attire).
(4) Delegates will only be awarded a Certificate of Attendance individually if they have
attended all the obligatory sessions of the event, including the workshops, panel debates and
committee sessions. Exceptions may be made on a case-to-case basis.
Smoking, Alcohol and Drug Policy
(1) Participants are expected and obliged to obey the laws of the Republic of Poland in regards
to Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs.
(2) Delegates are not be permitted to smoke inside the conference venue.
(3) Open containers of alcohol of may not be carried around in committee rooms and hallways
at the conference venue.

(4) Delegates found possessing or using illicit drugs, as defined by the Polish law, during the
conference or during the social events, will be required to leave immediately and may be held
criminally liable.
(5) Liability of the organizers for all delegations actions, results of actions and etc. related to
the consumption of alcohol is stated in the section Liability. Furthermore, organizers are not
liable for any and all actions of underage delegations during the conference, the associated
social events, especially if related to the consumption of alcohol at any point during the event.
Expulsion From the Conference
(1) The organizers reserve the right to immediately expel delegates from both the conference
and the conference venue in cases of unacceptable behaviour or violation of these Terms and
Conditions. Furthermore, the organizers reserve the right to define appropriate conference
behaviour and will be particularly sensitive to issues involving displays of disrespect or
intolerance to other delegates, or the conference staff.
(2) If a delegate is dismissed from the conference, their delegation is automatically disqualified
from conference awards.
Exceptions to the Terms and Conditions
(1) The Project Coordinator of the conference is the only person empowered to grant
exceptions from these Terms and Conditions.
(2) The organizers are not liable for any erroneous statements made by other staff members
regarding exceptions to Terms and Conditions, fees or any other information regarding the
conference.
Intellectual Property
(1) The organizers claim copyright on all of the data available on their website, on all other
data related to and released by the organizers and staff of the event, and on all contents
created during or for the conference, unless the copyrights are agreed and stated
otherwise.

(2) Some images, graphics, documents and data on the website and printed material are used
under license and may not be stored or reproduced without the consent of the copyright
holder.
Court of Jurisdiction and Validity of Terms
(1) The jurisdiction for all legal issues resulting from or related to this agreement and
contractual relationships with the organizers is Wroclaw, Poland.
(2) If any of the above terms should become ineffective, all remaining terms of this Agreement
remain legally binding.
