ORTHOGONAL Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

Used classical music to inspire his design.
The building is formed into four sections
consisting of two modes:
1) Heavy orthogonal masonry
representing the percussion, and;
2) Light curvilinear metal roofing
representing the strings.

resulting in a possible echo.

HOME or HOME/OFFICE ARCHITECTURE

Each apartment types allows for use as a

living or living+working spaces for creatives,
limiting “survival spaces” to the core, or
spine, of each apartment, and “creative”
spaces to outer rooms exposed to direct
sunlight and views.

The flexibility in the design of the outer

rooms allows for each apartment to func-
tion as a home or a home office.

In the final design phase, a number of pos-

sible outer room configurations will be pre-
sented. It is at the discretion of the inhab-
itants as to which configuration they will
choose.
