Approach: Experimental learning, Task based learning
Course Focus: Reading comprehension skills, Vocabulary development,
Process writing techniques, critical thinking, Note taking skills, and
practice of word forms, Idioms, English use useful language, cultural
items and fixed phrases.
Overall aim: By the end of the course, candidates will be better skilled to
communicate effectively in English in a variety of practical contexts.
Objectives:

Be able to talk on a familiar topic.


Keep up a conversation on a fairly wide range of topics.
Be able to scan texts for relevant information.
Be able to write a simple report of a factual nature and begin to
evaluate, advise, etc.
Make notes while someone is talking.
Express opinions and give reasons.
Ask for clarification and further information.
Be able to present arguments, using a limited range of expression
