University. The researchers were encouraged to undertake this study in the hope
that it would be beneficial and useful for the accounting program in the University as
well as other Universities offering Accountancy.

This study will serve as an instrument to encourage professors in the field of

The study will be limited only on assessing the qualities and preparedness of
Accountancy students (enrolled S.Y. xxx-xxx) in EAC-Manila, excluding shifters,
transferees and cross-enrollees. This research will make use of descriptive research
and survey method. It will not attempt to make correlation between Entrance Test
(CET) ratings and their academic performances.
The research will be restricted to describing the CET scores of the respondents
as compared to their grades in basic accounting subject. It also will make
descriptions as compared to the mean of each accounting-related subject and how
well these grades comply with the Universitys accounting retention policy. Finally,
the psychographic and behavioral profile of the population will be considered to find
out and make explanations of the qualitative factors that might affect academic
performances. The aforementioned qualitative factors will be limited to proponentsdefined factors that might have effects to academic achievements.
