Description - In this course the student will
learn the core elements of fitness and mixed
martial arts

Contents
1) Human Body Science It involves the
study of the human body and its working
A)Anatomy

Its is the study of the structures(like

bones,muscles etc) which make up the human body ,their


names,functions and relations

B)Organ Physiology

it is the study of the working of

the organ systems within the human body(like normal working


of heart,lungs etc)

C)Kinesiology

It is the study of the movements at the

joints produced by muscles.It includes study of joint structures


and movements possible.

D) Basic Nutrition It include the learning about the


macro and micronutrients like
Carbohydrates,Protiens,Fats,Water,Vitamins etc and their role
in normal health.

2) Exercise Science It involves the study of the


science related to exercise

A)Biomechanics

it includes the study of the interaction

between the human body and the forces of nature.

B)Exercise Physiology

It deals with the immediate and

long term changes which happen in the working of the human


body due to exercise.

C) Energy Systems These include the study of different


energy sytems that get activated due to change in exercise
variables.

D) Sports Nutrition

It include the basic guidelines for a

healthly Preseason,Onseason and Offseason meal plans.Use of


supplements and ergogenic aids for enhanced performance
during training or competition

E) Concepts and Components of Fitness

It deals

with a brief study of the basic and the skill components of


fitness.It also includes the concepts like understanding of the
terms used during exercise,exercise variables ,and

fundamentals of conditioning like EPOC


effect,Progression,Reversibility etc.

3)Types of Exercises Exercise categories broadly


divided into Aerobic and Anaerobic and description on the uses
of exercise props like Medicine ball,Swiss
balls,Bosuballs,Kettlebells,Suspension trainers,Free
weights,Machines etc.

aerobic and High Intensity Interval Training.

E)Speed,Agility and Quickness training-Using


Ladders,Cones etc.

F) Flexibility Training Using different stretches on


props or without.

5) MMA Techniques
A)Striking- It is any technique that requires
impacting the opponents body with ones own
body to cause opponent injury or pain.

peak fitness during the competition

includes the general guidelines to be used while training for
MMA safely
