Abstract
The study investigates the Effects of the Child without the
Parental Guidance. Parents must be responsible and must do their
obligation so that the child will grow well with a proper hygiene.
Separation anxiety, lack of support from parents, unstable income
of family and lack of attention are the most common cases in a K-1
pupil.
The child without parental are usually shown by their attitude,
health and physical improvement. The behavioral description of the
students was basically connects on the way their parent handle them
and to the performance of their studies.
Keywords: Parental Guidance
Introduction
Effect of the child without the parental guidance during school days at Barangay
Bobontugan, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental is importantly to be studied and observed so that parents
and teachers will value the proper and accurate guidance to their children. Parents significant
role is to guide their children during their growing stage especially during their school days.
According to Mokeyane et al (2014) that parents must be a model of the behavior of proper good
hygiene to carry healthy habits in adulthood. However, Calder et al., (2010) stressed that good
hygiene affects the health and well-being of the children. Furthermore, Meredith Corporation
(2014) mentioned that proper hygiene is vital for school-age kids because most illness is
constructed in school hands spread germs.
Meanwhile, Loon (2013) opined that parents should prepare lunch at home for their
children to bring at school to ensure that child eats nutrients and healthy food. In addition, Locke
(2011) also opined that food preparation is to set up the food safely and appropriately. As said by
Vodicka et al., (2010) that eating smart and moving more help children maintain a healthy weight
feel better and have more energy. In other words, as Lehman (2014) stated part of the child has
low of self-esteem parents should complement their minor accomplishments. As thus Pinantoan
(2014) revealed that brain power work ethic and even genetics play important roles in student
management.
Moreover, Nokali (2011) stressed that involvement of parents to young children
attributed to academic nature, like helping homework, thus the objectives of the researchers to
identify the effect of the child without the parental guidance during school days on their hygiene,

school performance, through their form number 137 of the quarter one during the school days of
K-1 at Barangay Bobontugan, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental February 2015-2016.
Methods
Descriptive method was used by the researchers during the gathering of data about the
parental issues on K-1 pupils of Bobontugan Elementary School. The researchers ethnographic
notes was taken during the visit. And the entire ethnographic notes was used during the analysis
by the researcher to the evaluation or assessment made by the Teachers adviser regarding the
students behavior. Likewise, the team made an analysis to use the lottery style and pick 8
students out of 30 and get the comments based on the observation of their Teacher.
Results and Discussion
The description of incident was based on the comment of the teacher taken from their
anecdotal notes. The respondent A is not ready in school but willing to learn its because both
parents are very busy in earning money and they dont have enough time to take care of their
children. The respondent B cannot see what is written on the board because she has a cataract
and she needs an eyeglass to help her see clearly. Respondent C is trying hard to learn because he
must be now in grade 1 and he is afraid to fail again. The respondent D always whines
Every time they have writing activity. He easily gets down and very sensitive because this is his
first time to enroll in K-1 and he has a separation anxiety.
Respondent E is so playful, very active and participative but a bully child it is maybe
because his parents are separated and he is longing for the love of his Father. The respondent F is
so timid and behave in class its because she has an asthma and she needs to be behave at all
times. Respondent G is one of the witty students in class because his parents never fails to
follow-up him at home and respondent H is not ready for school because his mother is always
busy doing household chores and does not have time to follow-up her child.
The researchers come up with their own analysis that without parental guidance the total
development of a child will not develop as well as that it will affect the mental and emotional
being of their kids. A child needs an attention from their parents even though they taught in
school. It must be that the child will see and feel that their parents support is with them.
The results of the survey proves that parents must be the first mentor to their children and
must not rely to the teachers on school for a child especially in K-1, it needs a full follow-up in
terms of their studies. Example of the cases in school of a K-1 pupil was the separation anxiety,
we cannot avoid it for it is a first that a child will attend a class.
