Notes on operating instructions

DVD

These operating instructions contain important notes on how to operate

the ATMOSoft ENT safely, correctly and effectively. Their reading helps to
avoid risks, and also to reduce repair costs and down-times. That increases, amongst other things, the reliability and service-life of the software.
These operating instructions serve not only for new operating personnel
to be instructed in its use, but also for use as a reference manual. Reproduction of these instructions even in part only with the written permission of ATMOS.
These operating instructions must always be kept available near the
device.
The quality management system applied at ATMOS has been certified
according to international standards EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485.
Prior to start-up please peruse chapter 2.0 For your safety, in order to
be prepared for any possible dangerous situations.

Scope of supply

Prior to dispatch, this ATMOSoft ENT software was subjected to an extensive functional test and has been carefully packed. Nevertheless, please compare the contents of the shipment on completeness immediately upon
receipt (see delivery note).

2.0 For your safety

The ATMOSoft ENT may only be used by trained personnel which has been authorised and trained by
ATMOS. It is only to be used in a supervised working
surrounding (IEC 601-1/EN 60601-1)
Please take care that the pictures taken are assigned
to the matching patients when manually saving the
pictures. It lies within the duty of care of the operator.
It is the operator's responsibility to save the produced data.

3.0 Setting up and starting up

Installation

When the Installation CD is placed in a CD or DVD drive, the software should start automatically. If not, open the
contents of the CD and start the Install.exe manually.
Please make sure that full administrative rights are granted for the user in order to be able to install the software
and drivers. Read and write permission for the working partition C:\ and the data storage partition are essential
for the function of the diagnostic software.
Follow the steps as described below to perform the installation:
1. Choose the desired language.

2. Click at the button "ATMOSoft ENT". The installation

wizard should open automatically

3. Accept the Licence Agreement

4. Click "Next" to configure the software

5. Open the software

Click onto the register "camera" to do the necessary adjustments. To do this the camera needs to be installed
and connected to the device.

Camera settings should only be done by experts or

technicians to optimise the camera performance.

3.8

Licence Settings
Hardware specific serial number for the purchase of
a licence (activation code). The activation code will be
supplied by your ATMOS contact person.
By clicking on "Formula" a window which has to be filled
in completely opens up.
By clicking on PDF you can generate a PDF file which
you can send to your ATMOS contact person via e-mail
or post.

Please note that the individually generated activation code enables you for the use on this
computer.

3.9

Licensing with ATMOSoft Dongle

To perform the licencing via the ATMOSoft Dongle follow the steps below:
1. Install the software according to the steps 1 to 4 of the guide on the pages 7 + 8.

2. Connect the USB-Dongle with a free USB socket on

your computer.

3. Start the ATMOSoft

Note: The software cannot be licenced without a correctly connected dongle.

Note: Prior to every start of the ATMOSoft the Dongle has to be connected as otherwise the licensing cannot
be performed.

3.10 Basic functions

3.11 Editing of images and videos

The editing menu for images and videos can be started either by pressing the F10 key on your keybord or by
clicking on the right mouse key and by selecting the oder "editing".

3.11.1 Editing images

To perform editing work on your images click on the

neccessary function.
Click with pressed Shift-key to select the position for
markers and texts.
By turning the scroll-wheel on the mouse and with
pressed Shift-key the size of text and objects can be
scaled.
To change the colour select the "select colour"
button, choose the colour and click onto the the
object you want with pressed Shift-key to change the
colour.
To place text on the image select the "open text
field" button and type in the text. By clicking into the
image with pressed Shift-key the text can be placed.
By clicking on the button "adopt editing" the changes on the image will be taken over. Any objects on
the image that were placed until then cannot be
changed anymore.

To edit videos it is neccessary to save them beforehand.

By pressing the button "Selecting the start point" the beginning of the video can be chosen.
By pressing the button "Selecting the end point" the ending of the video can be chosen.
To place a comment click on the button "Open text field" an type in your text. To place the text on the video
click into the image with pressed Shift-key.
To change the colour of a comment click on the button "Select colour". Choose the colour. By clicking on the
comment with pressed Shift-key the colour of the comment is changed.
By clicking on the button "Adopt editing" the changes on your video will be saved.
Note:

The video is editable as long as it has not been clicked on the button "Adobt editing".

Note: The edited video is not finally saved until the button "save changes" which appears when closing the
application is selected.

All spaces need to be filled in completely; choose the desired version of the ATMOSoft under the menu "Version".

3.10 Patient management

By clicking on the "handshake" button the patient
management can be opened out of the measurement
screen.

If the ATMOSoft is not integrated into a practice EDP the software can be managed in the database directly.
If integration into the practice EDP is available (GDT interface) access to the patient management is blocked because all patient-related data is automatically adopted.

If examination results shall be saved a reference to the patient needs to be included.

3.10.3

Optional iHandle software

The ATMOS Remote (REF 700.0032.0) is required when using the automatic start-up by pressing a pushbutton
at the handle.
To use the iHandle software you have to connect the controller of the ATMOS Scope to the control box of the
ATMOSoft ENT. The software of the ATMOS Diagnostic Cube and the ATMOS Scope needs to be installed.

Usually the first installation of the iHandle is done by our service technicians or our competent partners.
The technician will also install the required drivers for the USB ports. After manually starting the iHandle software
the setup can be executed in the options menu. The iHandle software will afterwards be placed in the "autostart"file of the Windows operating system. It is then automatically available.

3.11 Modules
The ATMOS Scope needs to be selected in the register "Module".

3.12 System
In the register "System the programme settings such as language and ID for the iHandle interface can be defined
for the Windows operating system. This is only possible in connection with the ATMOS Diagnostic Cube.

3.13 Functions of the operator buttons on the ATMOS Scope handle

The upper button is used to take / freeze the picture or
to reactivate the camera to take a new picture. Press
the button to freeze, press the button again to reactivate the camera.

The lower button is used to skip frames. Each time the

button is pressed, the software will move to the next
frame.

By clicking on the camera button the video function will be activated.

Via the two buttons on the ATMOS Scope the recording can be started and stopped.

3.14 User interface

The user interface of the ATMOSoft ENT is very simply structured to enable easy documentation of diagnostic results

The major part of the screen is occupied by the life picture taken by the camera and which can be saved by
pressing the upper button.

If the patient data is important it can be saved in the

ATMOS diagnostic patient data file or it can be exported into a practice EDP.
The documentation can either be stored electronically as data files in PDF or Word format or just as well
be printed out immediately.
Download images, respectively films and press F10 or
right-click and select image processing.

3.15 Printout and documentation

Documentations can either be saved as electronic data files or as paper printouts. The data file can be saved as
WinWord or PDF files.
Mircosoft Windows and Adobe Reader are not included in the scope of supply.
The PDF file will be created automatically when clicking onto the PDF-Button on the screen.
