use a range of measuring and marking-out instruments/tools to take accurate

measurements within given tolerances for given maintenance tasks

P2.3

use measuring and marking-out instruments to take relevant measurements

and mark out component or work pieces when producing a specified artifact

P3.1

identify if measuring and marking-out instruments are in good working order

before using them

P3.2

carry out basic care steps to ensure measuring and marking-out

instruments/tools are maintained in good working order after use

Assessment / Evidence
Assessment evidence must include:
record of questions and Candidate responses which
demonstrate that all of the requirements of the Performance
Criteria, Knowledge and Scope have been met
observation checklist completed by an Assessor on a
minimum of two occasions for the use measuring and
marking-out instruments as the Candidate measures and
marks out components or work pieces to create a given
artifact
evidence of measured and marked out components or work
pieces used to create a given artifact - this could be video or
photographic evidence
