Dear
Marc‐Olivier,

Re:
 GPG’s
response
to
the
Committee’s
order
of
April
21,
2010

This
letter
is
in
response
to
the
Committee's
order
that
was
passed
at
the
end
of
the

meeting,
which
is
that
Green
Power
Generation
produces
to
the
Committee,
no
later

than
April
22,
2010,
at
5:30
p.m.,
the
list
of
the
three
names
relating
to
the
executive

summaries
that
Mr.
Glémaud
submitted
to
the
office
of
the
Parliamentary
Secretary
to

the
Minister
of
Transport,
Infrastructure
and
Communities,
Mr.
Brian
Jean.

In
passing,
we
were
quite
disappointed
by
the
unprofessional
and
unfair
treatment
that

we
were
subject
to
by
some
members
of
the
Committee.

It
was
our
understanding
as

per
the
invitation
that
we
received
from
your
office
that
the
members’
questions
would

be
regarding
the
scope
of
the
study,
and
not
a
barrage
of
personal
attacks
based
on

unproven
allegations
and
innuendo.

After
the
grilling
from
the
Committee,
I
was

approached
by
several
respectable
citizens
from
various
visible
minority
groups
who

expressed
their
feeling
that
racism
seemed
to
be
the
underlying
logic
for
such
harsh

treatment
of
two
young
new
Canadians
that
have
not
been
found
guilty
of
any
crimes.

As
per
our
testimony
in
front
of
the
Committee
our
position
is
that:

 1)
 GPG
its
directors
have
not
received
any
money
from
any
grant,

contribution
or
other
financial
benefit
by
or
on
behalf
of
the
Government
of
Canada;

 2)
 GPG
and
its
Directors
have
not
received
any
compensation
or
payments

on
behalf
of
any
person
or
organization
to
undertake
lobbying
activities.

Due
to
business
confidentiality
concerns,
we
were
not
comfortable
with
providing
the

names
of
the
entities
to
the
Committee
at
that
time.

However,
due
to
the
heckling
of

some
members,
we
were
not
given
the
opportunity
to
express
such
concern
to
the

Committee.

The
documents
that
were
submitted
to
the
office
of
Mr.
Brian
Jean
are

executive
summaries
of
approximately
3
pages
and
not
a
formal
and
complete

application
that
are
normally
of
more
than
50
pages.

These
projects
were
at
the
conceptual
stage
and
not
finalized,
nor
were
any
legal

agreement
or
understanding
negotiated
nor
entered
into
at
that
stage.
These
executive

summaries
were
submitted
under
the
umbrella
of
GPG
and
the
followings
entities
are

the
potential
stakeholders
associated
with
the
projects:

a) Solar
Photovoltaic
Electricity
Generation,
the
stakeholders
are
Upper
Canada

Solar
Generation
and
Canadian
Solar
Incorporated;

b) DPS
Kinetics
Renewable
Electricity,
the
stakeholder
is
Renewable
Energy

Group
Inc.;

c) BioDryer
Technology,
the
stakeholder
is
Green
Rite
Solutions.

GPG’s
intention
in
submitting
these
executive
summaries
was
to
gather
information

regarding
the
eligibility
of
the
potential
projects
and
I
reiterate
that
GPG
did
not
enter

into
an
agreement
or
receive
any
funds
or
compensation
from
these
entities.

We
hope
that
the
Chair
will
be
satisfied
with
our
response.

Sincerely,

Patrick
Glémaud
