Kathy and Greg Stever are celebrating

their first year anniversary at
Beck’s Wine and Liquor
Ed Beck, the founder of Beck’s Wines and Liquors lo-
cated in The Plaza in Schaghticoke, left a legacy of
excellence in service and quality.goods.
His legacy lives on!. His daughter, Kathy, worked in
the store over the years and she did not want to see the
business leave the family. Kathy and her husband, Greg,
(pictured above) took the bull by the horns, and one
year ago began operating Beck’s Wines and Liquors daily.
They are open from 10 am -7 pm Mon-Wed; 10 am-8 pm
Thur, Fri; & Sat. 10am-5pm Sun.
Kathy says, “Since we took over the business a year
ago,we have come to realize just how many special
friends and loyal customers my father had . We have
gotten the sense that our community is one that looks
after and takes care of each other. I am very proud to be
a business owner here.”
“We are celebrating our one year anniversary and we
wiah to extend thanks to you all for your loyalty and
patronage. Therefore, we are offering as an
anniversary special, a 10% discount on all of
our wines the entire weekend of April 23-25. .
We look forward to continuing our second year, and we
look forward to establishing life-long relationships with
you all. “

Farm To Family Program
Coupons.The Farm To Family
program is set up to allow those who
might not be able to afford fresh fruits
and vegetables to use coupons given
to them by the Department of Health.
This is a federal and state program
that is mainly for senior citizens, the
disabled, Wic recipients, and those in
financial trouble. The 2010 Fair Haven
Farmer’s Market season will soon be
upon us and we plan to start it out
right. We already have our vendors
signing up for the season and are taking
applications for new vendors. We have
our Farm To Family Program
paperwork ready to go and NEW this
season we will have an EBT/Debit card
machine so you can use your
foodstamp dollars and your debit card
at the market to purchase goods. This
is possible because of a joint agreement
with the Vermont Farmer’s Market
Association and NOFA Vt. This will
make it easier for our community to
get what they need at the market. The
market also is getting the 2010 season
community events lined up and by
May we hope to have it finalized. We
will publish the list before our
opening day - Friday June 4. The
regular market hours for the 2010
season are Friday’s 3pm -6pm running
from June 4 - October 8 in the Fair
Haven Park. We are on the green at
the south end of the park next to the
parking lot. We are looking forward to
another amazing year and with mother
nature’s blessing - lots of produce to
share! For more information about The
