CCIM NEW Draft 2016, changes,

implications
and
opinion(WANTED)
The only thing constant in this world is change and its high time to give ones valuable
inputs on the comparative study of the ug regulation Ayurveda 2012 which is being
implemented right now and the proposed draft that will get implemented by ccim if not
raised any hands. No doubt some of the changes are appreciable but the change is only
for the good. And not for the extinction. The omission of the samhitas from the new
ccim proposed draft is a single handed effort done to show the compromised condition
of samhita department and what the draft committee feels about the department. The
burning questions here are
Whether the new draft proposal has been proposed by the members of Ayurveda
faculty or they are just another corporate industry trying to degrade the position of
this science?
Asking personal opinions about the draft from the users online and then deciding the
future of third party here, which are BAMS graduates here. Is it really fair enough to do
this?

Overall the ccim new draft is proposing to divide the ug syllabus semester
system wise and being specific to the subjects taught. There will be no
single teachings of the samhitas separately but the sthanas have been
divided according to the content matter and they will be taught by the
respective subject teachers. The bad thing about this is that the role of any
samhita teacher will be down to zero. In fact the existence of the
department will be questionable in the future. We must join our hands
together to let us draft a new proposal and letting the higher authorities
know that the new change is not for the good instead the methodology is

just as per the allopathic system of medicine. The fundamentals or the

importance, the values, the orientation of any student who has got
admission in BAMS will be only there if he/she has an inclination towards
reading samhitas as a full and not the selected chapters of the concerned
subjects. There will be no any use of implementing the new draft proposal
but the degradation of this science gradually.
