Skin:
Irritating to skin.
Inhalation:
Vapour is irritant to eyes, mucous membranes and respiratory tract.
Exposure to high vapour concentration or the acid as a mist may lead to
lung damage including pulmonary oedema and emphysema.
Emergency & First Aid Procedures
Dam or berm spill area and remdove material with highly absorbent waste.
Flood area to reduce concentration.
Waste Disposal Method
This is highly acidic liquid and should be handled only by those spilled in
chemical handling. Keep out of reach of children. Read entire label before

Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the ground or be moved by
ventilation and ignited by heat, pilot light, other flames and ignition
sources at locations distant from the material handling point. Never use
welding or cutting torch on or near drum (even empty) because product
(ever-just residue) can ignite explosive.

TLV for mineral oil mist is 5mg/m3 for a daily 8-hour exposure.
Effects of Overexposure
Eliminate all ignition sources: Small spill - Absorb on paper, absorbent and move to hood, allow to
evaporate.
Large spill - Exclude person from area not wearing protective equipment.
Stop spill at source, dike to retain spill, pump to sewage tank. Use sand
or absorbent on remain material.
Waste Disposal Method
Keep container closed when not in use. Keep away from heat, fire and
ignition sources.
