Swallow:
Ingestion can cause irritation of gastrointestinal tract resulting in
vomiting, diarrhoea, and abdominal pain.
Eye:
Irritating to eyes; contact can cause corneal burns.
Skin:
Irritating to skin.
Inhalation:
Vapour is irritant to eyes, mucous membranes and respiratory tract.
Exposure to high vapour concentration or the acid as a mist may lead to
lung damage including pulmonary oedema and emphysema.
Emergency & First Aid Procedures

Eyes - Flush with water and call physician immediately.

Skin contact - Flood with cold water and call physician.
Inhalation - Move to fresh air.
Ingestion - Call physician immediately.
SECTION VI - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
Steps to Be Taken In Case Material Is Released or Spilt

Dam or berm spill area and remdove material with highly absorbent waste.
Flood area to reduce concentration.
Waste Disposal Method

Use local enforcing agent for low PH waste.

Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and Storing

Store in cool, dry area in closed container following local regulatory

agency.
Other Precautions

This is highly acidic liquid and should be handled only by those spilled in
chemical handling. Keep out of reach of children. Read entire label before

Foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, water fog.

Special Fire Fighting Procedures

Water spray may be ineffective. Water may be used to cool containers to

prevent pressure build-up and explosion when exposed to extreme heat. If
water is used, fog nozzles preferred. Wear goggles and self-contained
breathing apparatus.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards

Closed containers may explode from internal pressure build-up when exposed
to extreme heat and discharge contents. Vapor accumulation can flash or
explode if ignited. Overexposure to decomposition products may cause a
health hazard. Symptoms may not be readily apparent. Obtain medical
attention.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Administer oxygen if needed. Apply
artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Get medical attention.
Eyes: Wash immediately with large volumes of fresh water for at least 15
minutes. Get medical attention. Skin: Wipe off with towel. Wash with soap
and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
SECTION VI - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
Steps to Be Taken In Case Material Is Released or Spilt

Avoid breathing vapors. Ventilate area. Remove all sources of ignition.

Clean up area with absorbent material and place in closed containers for
disposal.
Waste Disposal Method

Do not puncture or incinerate containers.

Give to a disposal service
equipped to safely handle and dispose of pressurized containers. Dispose of
in accordance with local and national regulations.
Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and Storing

Store and use in cool, dry, well-ventilated areas. Do not store above 50C.
Do not puncture or incinerate (burn) cans. Do not stick pin, nail or any
other sharp object into opening on top of can. Do not spray in eyes. Do not
take internally.
