SEC. 11. (1) Every bill which shall have passed the
National Assembly shall, before it becomes a law,
be presented to the President. If he approve the
same, he shall sign it; but if not, he shall return it
with his objections to the National Assembly,
which shall enter the objections at large on its
Journal and proceed to reconsider it. If, after such
reconsideration, two-thirds of all the Members of
the National Assembly shall agree to pass the bill,
it shall become a law. In all such cases the votes of
the National Assembly shall be determined
by yeas and nays, and the names of the Members
voting for and against shall not be returned by the
President as herein provided within twenty days
(Sundays excepted) after it shall have been
presented to him, the same shall become a law in
like manner as if he had signed it, unless the
National Assembly by adjournment prevent its
return, in which case it shall become a law unless
vetoed by the President within thirty days after
adjournment.

Accountability of Public Officers
(6) The Senate shall have the sole power to try and
decide all cases of impeachment. When sitting for
that purpose, the Senators shall be on oath or
affirmation. When the President of the Philippines
is on trial, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court
shall preside, but shall not vote. No person shall be
convicted without the concurrence of two-thirds of
all the Members of the Senate.
