When integrating the System Extension Module to Flexi Multiradio WCDMA BTS , no
commissioning is required. Once the System Extension Module has been connected t
o
the System Module and powered up, the auto detection functions of Flexi Multirad
io WCDMA BTS
detect the System Extension Module and connect the System Extension
Module to the normal operation of the BTS. As for software requirements, the aut
o
detection requires that WN3.3 or later BTS SW exists and is active both in the S
ystem
Module and System Extension Module to be connected to. However, support for the
FSMC, FSMD and FSME (Release 2 Radio Modules) were introduced in WN5.0.
Traffic descriptors attempt to capture the cell arrival pattern for resource all
ocation purposes.
Each connection has two sets of traffic descriptors: one set for the A-Z directi
on and another for the Z-Adirection.
Traffic descriptors are conveyed during connection setup, but may vary depending
on the service class of the connection

Network Element License

The Network Element (NE) licensing concept is used for low-volume network
elements

NE licenses contain (logical) target identifiers for one or several networ

k elements

NE licenses are installed to network elements either using NetAct License

Manager or element managers.
Pool license

Pool licenses contain license information for a large number of netw

ork elements of the same type. They are used for AXCs, WCDMA WBTSs, and I-HSPA W
BTSs

Pool licence is generated by the LG (License Generator) and it is ti

ed to one single NetAct Regional Cluster (TargetId field in the license file con
tains one NetAct Regional Cluster identifier).

Based on the Pool licence NetAct Regional Cluster generates NMS-gener

ated licenses to the network elements (NE) and distributes the licences to NEs.

NMS-generated licenses contain the same capacity/validity time (star

tTime and endTime) as the pool licence

Every pool license typically includes only one functionality, but th

e one functionality may have several pools in the same NetAct.
