CONTROL
Electric-hydraulic control is a system designed to control steam mass flow
through the steam turbine using a quick-operating, regulating valve. The
controlled variable are only the turbine speed. On working speed is possible run
using automatic or manual mode and these speed change. The feedback
incorporated in the algorithm of the governors returns the information on
regulating valve position. The control service is carried out by the local
operators. Output signals are used for signaling and unit safety.
The hydraulic-mechanical control system is intended to govern steam mass flowrate through the turbine by means of a control valve. The only quantity being
controlled is the turbine speed. The control system includes basic speed governor
Woodward through which turbine is kept at nominal speed during idle operation
and under load. The control system is operated automatically and not controlled
by the operator either locally or remotely.
