Conservation can be defined as using resources but within moderation. We should only
use what is necessary to survive. And if it is possible find ways to reproduce what we have taken,
like trees, for example; for every tree that gets cut down three more should be planted to take its
place and this should be done in advance to cutting down trees. Another item that we all need to
learn to conserve is oil and natural gases. There is no way for us to regenerate gas and oil so
Preservation can be defined as, not touching natural resources or wild life preservations.
Leave the forests and wildlife habitats alone, intact and untouched by civilization. We as humans
in our western worldview have destroyed so much of the earth and preexisting wildlife that was
here prior to us being here that there is not a lot of free land left for nonhuman life forms to live.
I think that given more research humans can find a way to harvest forest resources in an
environmentally friendly way. Humans come up with new ways of technology to make life
easier without humans having to do the work that scientist will create a machine of some sort to
remove natural resources without disturbing the environment and its habitants.
I believe that national forests should be left as is, in their natural state in which resources
are not used to benefit humans. Yes I did say that humans will find a way to remove these natural
resources safely, eventually; however I think they should not be touched. Humans need to find
I’m inclined to the preservation side of this argument. In terms of now, we will be fine if
the resource that is untouched get used for humans. What about the future, what about our
children and their children and so on and so forth? Will they have natural gas and oil when they
become older or will they suffer? How about we find a new solution to our problem so no one
