INTRODUCTION
This paper aims to give an overview and description of Maahad Ihya Al-Ahmadi for those
who wants to learn more about the school whose intentions were to donate money, materials,
equipment, vehicles or to contribute their ideas, energy and so on to help achieve the virtuous
intention in spreading the message of Islam in education field.
PURPOSE OF MAAHADS ESTABLISHMENT
1. Lack of religious government school.
In Kuala Langat there are only two religious government schools, Sekolah Agama
Menengah Tinggi Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (SAMTTAR) Sungai Manggis, Banting and
Sekolah Agama Menengah Unwanus Saadah (SAMUS) Kanchong Darat, Banting. Each year,
these schools could not accommodate the amount of students wishing to enroll in religious
based school.
2. Delivering the publics need.
The public in Kuala Langat especially hopes for a private religious school to be built
that can accommodate the students to continue their child education in religious school and
educated with reference to Islam.
3. Answering the calling of Fardh Ain and dawah.
Understanding religion is an obligation for every man, one of its ways of
implementation to young generation is through education. Therefore, Maahad IhyaAlAhmadi was realised despite the lack of capital or modal.
INITIAL CAPITAL
1. A group of 10 committee members who were willing to search for funds and becoming
the initiator were selected to start the purposes.
2. An endowment of a 2 acres land was given by Hj. Ahmad Bin Misro (Owner of Restoren
Malinda, Banting) to be the site for the school. As a gratitude, his name was
memorialized in the school name, Maahad Ihya Al-Ahmadi (Ahmad)

SPECIALTY OF MAAHAD
1. ENVIRONMENT
-
The schools environment is Edu Resort based, located far from the city and solitary
from vehicles noises. The school is also surrounded with greenery and a fresh air.
2. TEACHERS
-
Lots of hardworking teachers albeit receiving a low salary; with a basic salary of only
RM 1500.00.
Most of the teachers were highly educated, graduated from local Universities and
overseas.
Most of the teachers were of permanent status and were not interested in working
somewhere else.

5. BUILDINGS
4
The buildings were of Balinese-style to maintain the Javanese architecture and to show
that true Islamic based school is not under-developed and neglected.
6. SPIRITUAL PRACTICES
-
Regularly recites Hizib Bahar, Wirid Latif and else to cleanse the heart and make it easy
to receive lessons.
Quran recital and memorization every morning before starting the lessons.
Practices Dhuha prayer, Rawatib, voluntary fasting and more.
7. LOW FEE
-
For the year 2015 enrollment, the Maahad had to reject many of the applications for both
male and female tahfiz students due to the compactness of the hostel. This puts pressure
on the Maahad applications as the year goes by.
Right now, female students had to be separated into two groups for congregational prayer
because of the small space. Renovation was done in 2008, but the same problem occurs
when the number of students increases again.
3. NO SPECIAL VEHICLE
7
The Maahad is seeking to buy a mini bus with a cost of RM 250 000.00 for:
3.1
Making it easier for the students to go and perform the Jumuah (Friday prayer) in
3.2
The Maahad is trying to build a computer lab, Kemahiran Hidup Bersepadu (Integrated
Life Skills) workshop and English lab for students use. Alhamdulillah, two science lab
were managed to be built and completed in June 2015.
The Maahad plans to install projectors in every class to assist the lessons for students
using the modern approach. Right now, we only have 3 projectors that are used during
Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran (PDP) or Teaching and Learning.
1. STUDENTS FEE
- RM 10.00 payment for development of Maahad in students monthly fee.
2. MONTHLY DONATIONS FROM VILLAGERS
- Every month there will be a donations from about 30 villagers to pay for Maahads
electric bill.
3. DONATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC/ALMS FROM SALARIES
- 80% of income every month comes from the public.
Although the source of income is not a lot but with a continuing effort, Maahad was
developed as years goes by. Despite that, there are still lots of weaknesses in this
Maahad compared to religious government schools
