Introduction
The <Logical View> choice in the contextual menu of the network element opens an
interactive block diagram OSA 5581C GPS.

1.2.2
These numbers indicate the priorities (1 = highest priority) of the input signal.
It is possible to set the priority table with the menu option Elements -> Inputs ->
(any input) -> Set priority, or by pressing the right mouse-button while pointing at
the black dot under the priority number in the block diagram.
1-5
1.2.3
The information in these fields describes the working mode of the GPS module.
The different working modes are:
TRACKED FAST : The module is locked to one or more GPS satellites, but
the internal oscillator is not yet disciplined.
1-6
1.2.4
GPS Module 2 is in
holdover, no input
is selected.
GPS Module 1 is
synchronised on
auxiliary input
PSS 1 is operational
and select the signal
from GPS 1.
In this example it illustrates that GPS input is selected and is providing the
synchronization source to the Output Interface Units (OIU-8) and to the ReTiming
Unit (RTU).
Note:
If no reference signal is selected (e.g. due to invalid synchronization
signal), no connection link will be shown.

1.2.5
The color of the arrowhead indicates the output/re-timing cards operational state,
as shown in the following key.
Purple :
Card extracted
Green :
Signal valid
Red :
Output failure
Grey :
Empty slot
Information about card type is displayed above and on the right of the line symbol
of the output item.
A right mouse click will bring up the output line contextual menu. The option <
Details> will allow extra status reporting and command/control if the output card
has available advanced functionality (Menu item not grayed). See chapter
Available Functions for a detailed explanation of this feature.

1.3.14 SSM
The goal of the SSM is to be able to select an input card in function of its quality.
The quality is not measured, it is driven into kbit/s type signal.
Input Quality :
This zone
indicates the
quality,
equivalent
or forced, by the
GPS input.
Output Quality :
This zone
indicates the type
and quality,
generated or
transformed by
the output card.
Holdover Quality :
This zone indicates the
quality generated if the
GPS module passes in
Holdover.
