Independent Fundamental Baptist Missionaries to the Philippines

Sent by Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Brogue, PA
Here is a photo of our
house in Red Lion, PA. We
certainly wish we were in
the Philippines, but as it
stands, we are waiting for
the sale of our house before
we go to the field. This
decision of course is made
by us in conjunction with
my Pastor and the Deacons
of my sending church.
Our hearts are heavy because we have raised our necessary funds to function as missionaries in the Philippines. We are working with our realtor in a
couple of ways to ensure the sale of our house. First, we have lowered our
asking price significantly in order to attract buyers. Secondly, we are waiting
to hear back from the bank to see if they will take what is now a third offer
on our house (which, oddly enough, it takes time for the bank to do a
review.) While we are waiting, we are certainly praying, preparing, and
serving. As local church missionaries, we are in constant communication
with my Pastor and Deacons, and I would invite you to please feel free to
contact them if you would like to. As always, their contact information, as
well as mine, is located in the footer section of my newsletter. There are
currently 100 Million Filipinos living in the Philippines, and that to me is
100 million reasons why we desire to get there. Rom. 8:28 says And we
know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are the called according to His purpose. We derive great comfort and strength in knowing that even our present situation is included in
this divine promise.

What is March like in

the Philippines?
During the holy
week (March 21-26, 2016) it
is not unusual to see several
re-enactments of the crucifixion. This extreme display of
Roman Catholic devotion is prevalent in the northern province of Pampanga (which is my home province). It is not unusual to see
flagellants (men who are whipping their backs, which is a bloody scene)
making their way through crowds of on-lookers. Penitents are seen
crawling on the streets as an act of contrition while other Filipino devotees

Praise Reports:
Praise the Lord for a number of professions of faith
made this month, thus far. Through our personal
witness, we saw a young man in his 20s
(Christopher) and a young lady (Amanda) come to
faith in Christ. I was able to fill a pulpit in Chicago, IL
(Cornerstone Baptist Church) and as a result of
preaching the gospel, two individuals made professions of faith (a lady named Iesha and a man named
Terrell). Please pray for an effective follow up.
Praise God for your faithful love, prayers, and support. We hear back from so many friends that you
are praying for us. We do not take you for granted!
Praise the Lord for Easter or Resurrection Sunday!
Because the Lord Jesus is risen, He is soon returning.
All that we do for Him will indeed be rewarded, and
we shall lay our crowns at His feet for He alone is
worthy!
Prayer Requests:
Pray for the sale of the house.
Pray for God to continue to enable us by His Word
and His Spirit to see souls saved and lives changed.
Pray for an upcoming two day music conference in a
church in Iowa. I have been given a privilege to
preach and teach on godly music principles.
are literally carrying crosses. A somber and sad chanting
of the Casaysayan ng Pasion (The Account of the Passion) is heard in many remote pockets of the region. All
of this is practiced with the hopes of gaining Gods
forgiveness of sins. This is nothing but pure superstition
mixed with a perversion of Christianity. We know that
Gods mercy is granted to us by grace through faith and
not of works. Would you pray that God would enable
souls who are lost in sin to see the marvelous light of
Jesus Christ? He is ready to save!
