CONCLUSION REMARKS

Temperature-depth profiles in Kumamoto Plain were

measured to evaluate the groundwater flowing situations. We constructed a least-square solver to estimate
groundwater velocity and surface temperature based
on subsurface temperature. The estimated groundwater velocities suggest that the velocities range from
0.5 to 0.4 m/year in most aquifers. And the subsurface hydrograph can be estimated based on temperature profiles. Using this least-square solver, the
spatial and temporal variations of groundwater system can be evaluated from the thermal perspective.
This presented approach provides an effective way to
investigate subsurface groundwater flowing evolution
under the condition of climate warming.
