Weapons play a very important role in Tanki Online.

The type of gun you choose will strongly affect your style of
playing, whether it is aggressive lightning-fast attacks or firing from protected positions.
In addition, the weapon you like can be upgraded. All guns have four modifications, from the weakest to the
strongest (from M0 to M3). Accordingly, the price of the junior modification isn't high. You can already try the
most popular tactics at junior ranks without having to spend a large amount of crystals. But it's impossible to
get everything you want at once. Particular guns and modifications can be purchased only with a certain rank.
Its important to know that some guns in the game have a maximum range. On distances greater than this
range these guns may do no damage at all. If it says that up to 50m 100%, after 100m 20%, then the
guns damage will linearly decrease from 100% to 20% between 50 to 100 meters. For example, the gun will do
60% of damage at 75 meters.
Now lets look at guns in more detail.

Players opinion
High accuracy and rate of fire. Ability to knock off enemys aim. High critical damage will help to cope with
any opponent.
Damage decreases with distance. To improve the effectiveness, each shot must hit the target. Critical hit
chance cant be controlled.

Firebird

Main article: Firebird

A good weapon for short-range battle. Fires a stream of napalm that burns tanks within its damage radius.
Burning opponents continue to take damage even after the Firebird's attack stops. Can thaw frozen tanks and
is a great choice for fast and medium hulls.
Player's opinion
Good damage. High speed of turrets rotation. Does maximum damage even through other tanks. Enemy
gets damage for some time after attack.
Very short range. Takes time to recharge.

Twins

Main article: Twins

supressing enemies. Works well with any hull.
Player's opinion
Good damage. High speed of turrets rotation. Strong physical effect of fire.
Limited range. Inability to use cover when attacking.

Railgun

Main article: Railgun

A gun for professionals. Performs well at any range. Takes a long time to reload and needs to warm up before
firing, but packs a hefty punch. A good pairing for any hull, but light tanks run the risk of flipping over from the
recoil! A favorite amongst clan players.
Players's opinion
High damage of every shot. Ability to deal damage through enemy tanks. Knocks off enemys aim. Unlimited
range.
Very low rate of fire. High recoil that can knock over light hulls. Delay before the shot.

Isida

Main article: Isida

An essential gun in team battles. Can repair tanks within its firing radius and effectively destroy opponents at
short-range. Repairs its own hull while damaging enemies. Works well with any hull.
Player's opinion
Repairs itself through damage dealt to enemies. A lot of experience points is given when repairing allies.
Very short range. The need to recharge the gun.

Thunder

Main article: Thunder

A great choice for mid-range battles. Rounds from Thunder explode on impact and damage everything within
their blast radius. This makes it risky to use at short-range as it may inflict self-damage. Goes well with any
hull.
Player's opinion
Ability to deal damage to several enemies simultaneously or attack tanks you cant see.
Damage considerably decreases with distance. Shockwave can damage shooters tank.

Freeze

Main article: Freeze

shells ricochet off walls, allowing it to shoot around corners. Just make sure you dont take a ricocheting round

right in the kisser! Goes well with all hulls.

Player's opinion
Good damage. Strong physical effect of fire. Ability to attack tanks out of your visibility range.
Limited effective fire range. The need to recharge the gun. Risk of self-damage. Setting charges in right
direction requires skill.

Shaft

Main article: Shaft

A great choice for a sniper. It is the only gun with an optical scope attached, allowing it to easily hit targets at
long range. Can also fire short-range without using the scope. Works well with any hull, but light hulls risk
flipping over from the recoil!
Player's opinion
The highest damage per shot. Ability to shoot with a charge of desired power. Ability to deal damage through
enemy tanks.
The slowest speed of turrets rotation. Inability to move and poor visibility. Low damage while moving.

Hammer

Main article: Hammer

Perfect choice for close range combat. Three powerful shots mean your opponents have no way out. Its
shotgun functionality allows Hammer to hit several targets with one shot at medium ranges. Works best with
medium hulls.
Player's opinion
Excellent damage. Highest impact of all guns. Ability to damage several tanks with one shot.
Limited effective fire range. Long reload. Impossible to reload before all shots in a clip are used.

Vulcan

Main article: Vulcan

A turret with an immense firing rate. It is best suited for combat at mid and long ranges. Vulcan has a unique
gyroscope feature, which makes knocking off its aim very challenging, even when it's under heavy enemy fire.
Caution When using Vulcan, firing continuously for an extended time may overheat and damage your tank!
Ideal for use with heavy hulls.
Player's opinion
Good accuracy and high rate of fire. Ability to shoot without reloading. Considerable impact force.
Damage decreases over distance. Shooting for a long time may lead to self-damage. Turret's rotation speed
decreases when shooting.

Garage description
An essential gun in team battles. Can repair
tanks within its firing radius, counteract
freeze and fire effects, and effectively
destroy opponents at short-range. Repairs its
own hull while damaging enemies. Works well
with any hull.

Isida is a short-range turret in Tanki Online, which is unlocked at the rank of Sergeant. It shoots a
stream of nanobots, which are capable of both damaging enemies and healing teammates.
Contents
[show]

Characteristics
Isida's shots consist of a continues stream of nanobots, which- when targeted at an enemy- will inflict
damage, and while doing so, will also regenerate some of the shooter's health. The amount of health

regenerated is equal to a certain fraction of the inflicted damage. This fraction can be increased by
upgrading the turret.
In addition, when aiming at a teammate, the stream of nanobots repairs the teammate's hull (not
available in the Deathmatch and Friendly Fire modes). The initial teammate healing rate for each of
the M upgrade is identical to the damage the turret deals for the given upgrade level. This also gives
the healer extra experience points.
Each one of the M upgrades has its own color for the stream of nanobots. When the player attacks
an enemy, the stream moves towards the Isida operator. When healing teammates, the stream
moves towards the teammate.
Since the self-healing of Isida depends of the amount of damage it deals, using Double
Damage allows regaining health in a double rate. Double Damage also allows healing teammates
twice as faster.

Cons and pros

(+)Pros

Can heal teammates

Can self-heal the shooter while facing enemies

Cheapest turret in the game, in terms of buying all M upgrades

When constantly shooting another tank, Isida's range can extend slightly beyond its
regular maximum range

EXP is rewarded in exchange to healing teammates

(-)Cons

Second most expensive turret to buy its M0 version

Limited range

Uses
Isida's ability to heal teammates makes it ideal for nearly any team battle. It plays a major role
in Capture The Flag, especially when escorting and healing players that take the flag, as well as
healing those teammates who secure the team's base.
When combined with heavy hulls wich are packed with plenty of health- Mammoth in particularIsida's self-healing ability makes its destruction very difficult.

Combining Isida with light hulls is useful for catching up with other teammates and healing them- due
to Isida's short range- yet makes it more vulnerable.

Upgrades overview
Isida M1- the nanobot stream becomes orange when attacking enemies, and pale blue when

healing teammates.

Isida M2- the color of the nanobot stream becomes much more intense when attacking and

Isida M3- the nanobot stream becomes red when attacking enemies, and turquoise when
healing teammates.

Trivia

The stream of nanobots originally had the appearance of an electrical shock. For that matter,
it's been decided to change it to look like a stream. This update, which was launched on
November 12, 2014, also included the updated look of Railgun's shots.[1]

Isida has the highest damage range in Tanki, being able to damage tanks even at an angle
of almost 165.

Firebird is a turret in Tanki Online, which is unlocked at the rankof Recruit. It is essentially a
flamethrower, and its flame damage any enemy in its way, while setting them on fire.
Contents
[show]

Characteristics
Firebird has a very high rotation speed- only second to Freeze- which allows it to quickly aim at
nearby targets. It is a close-range weapon, and therefore will only affect nearby enemies. Its
magazine shoots napalm that can pass through enemies, and therefore affect a group of enemies,
and causes a very high damage. However, Firebird's flames have no impact force.
Firebird also has an "afterburn" effect, which means that any damaged enemy will be set of fire, and
will still be damaged after the Firebird stops shooting, or even if the Firebird tanker was completely
destroyed. The burning effect slowly decasy as the tank's temperature gets back to normal, but if the
enemy tank runs out of life, it would be destroyed, and the Firebird tanker will receive experience

points just like with any ordinary kill. Its burning can also be decayed using a Repair Kit, or by being
aimed at by a teammate Isida or Freeze, which cool down the tank.
When aimed at teammates frozen by an enemy Freeze, it can also unfreeze them.

Cons and pros

(+)Pros

Very high damage

Its high rotation speed allows it to aim quickly

Can hit a group of tanks

Very cheap at M0 and M1

First turret in the game to be available in M1

Afterburn damage is good if you are dead or running away

Deals maximum damage through other tank

Thaws enemies damaged by Freeze

(-)Cons

The most expensive M3 to buy. M2 is also very expensive

Magazine is quickly consumed (roughly 5 seconds), and reloading takes a long time
(about 15 seconds whne completely empty)

Uses
When quickly killing multiple enemies is required, Firebird does a very good job=- even a few
seconds of exposure result in an enormous high damage.
In addition, the flaming stream of napalm, with its smoke, allows Firebird to briefly create a wall of fire
in order to distract the enemy, and safely cross an open area. In large maps, this is a very useful
technique to avoid getting hit by enemy Shafts.
In also plays a major role in defending control points as well as flags, due to its ability to destroy
enemies that come very close.
When combined with light hulls, Firebird can destroy enemies while effectively avoiding their shots;
when used with a medium or a heavy hull, it can be used for obliterating a large number of enemies
before being taken down.

Upgrades overview
Firebird M1- has a drastic damage increase- roughtly a 25% boost. One of the major

differences is that, unlike M0, it can kill an M0 titan without reloading. The fire is given an
fluorescent orange color.
Firebird M2- the upgrade has a significant damage increase of 40%, as well as a noticeable

rotational speed boost, and a significantly longer burning effect duration. The flame is given an
intense yellow shade with orange bits near the end of the flame.
Firebird M3- just like when upgrading the M2, there is a very significant increase in damage,

rotation speed and burning time.

Trivia

Firebird's burning effect can kill enemies even after the shooter dies.
However, Freeze and Isida can speed up the decay of the effect.

Firebird is mostly effective in small maps, where long-range weapons are less effective.

Before one of the visual updates, flame color of the M2 and M3 upgrades used to be purple
and blue, correspondingly.

A loading glitch of the flame's image can make them appear as blank squares.

A unique weapon from short-range battles.
Slows opponents by freezing them and can
put out fires caused by Firebird. In the right
hands, it can destroy an enemy without
receiving any damage in return. Great for
fast and medium hulls.

Freeze is a turret in Tanki Online, which is unlocked at the rank of Corporal. It shoots a blasts
of freon-like chemical[1] that damages enemy tanks and simultaneously slows them down. It is also
know for its ability to cool down burning tanks.
Contents
[show]

Characteristics
Freeze is a short-range weapon, capable of slowing down enemy tanks while damaging them. Its
freezing effect only lasts a short time- unless the enemy is under constant Freeze fire- but will
drastically reduce its top speed, movement speed and turret rotation. Its is also capable of shooting
through tanks, which allows it to perform multikills.
Another interesting feature of freeze is its ability to cool down teammates on fire- usually those who
have been damaged byFirebird, but also overheated Vulcans.
Despite its short duration, its freezing effect decay can be sped up by the help of a teammate Isidawhich also heals the frozen tanker- or a Firebird- which is not capable of healing, yet unfreezes tanks
quicker.
In addition, the damage dealt by Freeze is almost identical to the damage of Firebirds. Just like
Firebird and Isida, it has no impact force or firing knockback.

Cons and pros

(+)Pros

High damage

Can shoot through other tanks

The turret with the fastest rotation speed

Freezing effect allows dodging enemy fire at close range, even at M0

Very cheap at all upgrades. Also second cheapest turret in terms of buying all of its
upgrades (afterIsida, which is just a little cheaper)

Can cool down burning allies

(-)Cons

When stoppin attacking an enemy, the freezing effect fades away very quickly

Limited range

Uses
Freeze's three main props that make it so versatile are its high damage, rotation speed and freezing
effect. One of its most important uses is in the CTF mode- especially when combined with a
medium/heavy hull, when guarding the team's flag. This way, a tanker can both use his tank to block
the path of enemies, and also to slow him down using the freezing effect, which makes it very difficult
to the enemy to get anywhere near the flag.
Another important use of Freeze is to sneak behind enemies and attacking them, and while slowly
cooling them down, to drive around them to dodge their fire. By doing so properly, it will be almost
impossible for that enemy to rotate their turret on time and fire back at Freeze. Since the enemy is
slowed down, this trick can be done without the need of a light hull.
Another common property of Freeze- yet not as widely used as an offensive attack- is to cool down
teammates suffering of burns by Firebird, or teammates that are overheated due to Vulcan's rapid
fire.
Freeze's ability to fire through other tanks allows it to achieve multikills, but also means that a Freeze
tanker can take advantage of it and cool down a burning teammate while also damaging a nearby
enemy.

Upgrades overview

Freeze M1- packs a high damage boost, as well as an increased rotation speed and a range
boost.

Freeze M2- has its damage, rotation speed and rage increased slightly, and the reloading
speed for an empty magazine is cut by about half a second. It can be bought 4 ranks after the
M1 upgrade is unlocked, which allows players to upgrade their M0 freeze to M2 without
waiting too long.

Freeze M3- is given a huge boost in damage and rotation speed. Its range is also
significantly increased.
