Background of IBN-SINA Hospital:

Ibn Sina (Avicenna) - doctor of doctors

Ibn Sina was born in 980 C.E. in the village of Afshana near Bukhara which today is located in
the far south of Russia. His father, Abdullah, an adherent of the Ismaili sect, was from Balkh and
his mother from a village near Bukhara.

In any age Ibn Sina, known in the West as Avicenna, would have been a giant among giants. He
displayed exceptional intellectual prowess as a child and at the age of ten was already proficient
in the Qur'an and the Arabic classics. During the next six years he devoted himself to Muslim
Jurisprudence, Philosophy and Natural Science and studied Logic, Euclid, and the Almeagest.

A group of dedicated social workers inspired by the values of Islam embarked upon a plan to
contribute their services to the distressed humanity by undertaking social welfare programs.
Towards that end IBN SINA TRUST has setup Laboratories, Hospital, Diagnostic Center,
Consultation Center and Pharmaceutical Industry. The Trust also has the program to conduct
other allied services to extend medical facilities to the benefit of suffering people. The profit that

accrues is spent on the multiple purposes through social welfare activities of the Trust. IBN
SINA TRUST is the fruit of that noble act the pioneers had undertaken.

At Present Ibn Sina has the following units :

1. Ibn Sina Hospital

2. Ibn Sina Diagnostic Laboratory

3. Ibn Sina Medical Imaging Center

4. Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry

5. Ibn Sina Medical Check-up Unit

6. Ibn Sina Medical College

It renders humanitarian services from the income earned through Medicare services. Since 1981
Ibn Sina has spent Tk. 60 million for Dawa work and humanitarian causes. We spent 33% of
annual income for this purpose and keep 33% as reserve and 33% for future development. In
Bangladesh the combination of Hospital services and medical check-up being done only by Ibn
Sina.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

The main objective of this study is evolutions of customer satisfaction in the health
care sector of Bangladesh. We research &analysis on IBN-SINA HOSPITAL .The
other objectives are mention below:

1. To know the consumer satisfaction about IBN-SINA Hospital.

3. To create the opportunities for field survey.


4. To compare with other institutions.

5. To know what types of facilities they are provided to the customer.

6. To identify the lacking & problem of health care system of Bangladesh.

7. To identify the lacking & problem of health care system of IBN-SINA


hospital.
8. To know the customer opinion about IBN-SINA hospital.
9. To know their competitive position in Bangladesh.

10. To develop our experience.

In this report our sample size is 40. The weight mean of IBN-SINA Hospital is 63.00%.

In the above analysis, We calculate weighted mean on IBN-SINA Hospital that is total
weight mean 63.00%.We can say that, the position of the hospital is not bad. So the
hospital should improve and reduce their management sector payment amount to reach
the better position.

CONCLUSION:

The health care system of Bangladesh is very expensive so the poor people cannot get proper
services. We analysis the customer satisfaction of IBN-SINA hospital ltd. The health care
system control government but people cannot get effective services. It is noted that the highest
number of problems (32%) in health sector are related to inadequate number of physicians,
wrong treatment, negligence towards patients, and absence from duty. The other problems are
related to supplies, equipment, and beds etc .Some other major problems often discussed also
include lack of ambulance services as well as proper referral services.

The barriers of health care are :

1. Lack of proper diagnostic facilities

2. Lack of qualified physicians

3. Improper distribution of diagnostic professionals

4. Professional isolation of Physicians

5. Medical manpower shortage

The government should take some positive &effective steps for develop our health care
system.

Recommendation:

We know Bangladesh increase health care facilities day by day. Government tries to best.
Now some hospital establish on privet hand. They provide western basis health services.
IBN-SINA hospital. Is one of the well-known private hospital of Bangladesh. For better
service the authority of this hospital should take following steps :

1. Huge investment has been made on equipment and technology.


2. To provide proper diagnostic facilities

3. To appointed qualified physicians

4. To provide more Medical manpower

5. To emphasis on qualified nursing services


According to our analysis and the customer opinion the Ibn-sina hospital provide good
& effectual services . The customer over all the confidence level on hospital is not bad,
because the weight mean 63.00% out of 80. The communication system of hospital is

very good and clients have no dissatisfaction about it. the courteous service/empathy is
good. Effectiveness of solution/information & competency is very good and confidence is
good.

The management rule & regulation is good. The management rule & regulation is not
good. The management rule & regulation is bad. The machinery and equipment is high
but it needs some machinery and equipment. The maximum number of clients is
dissatisfaction on payment. They said the payment is high for middle and lower class
people. . Its maximum customer is higher and middle class people. The 48% people in
our country live in below the poverty line so large number of people cannot get health
services. It should try to develop their services. We know health care services is not only
business it is human welfare activities.
