From the Chairman
On behalf of the entire Jackson County Democratic Committee, welcome to our annual
Truman Days celebration in recognition of President Harry Truman. This is one of the largest
gatherings of Democrats in our great state of Missouri and this is truly a jubilant year with sev-
eral offices held by our fellow Democrats.
As you can see this evening that many tables are filled with
our loyal friends in labor and we look forward to continuing those
great friendships. I would like to extend a special honor to our pre-
senting sponsor for these evenings events; the International Broth-
erhood of Electrical Workers Unions. Working people through the
leadership of organized labor have remained the backbone of the
Democratic Party.
Our Truman Days events are representative of the efforts of
many committee people; I hope you will join me in thanking our
