Course Objectives
At the end of the course, students should be able to:

1. Apply the principles and procedures in curriculum and syllabus design,


2. Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum and syllabi in the different
areas of specialization,
3. Apply the principles, methods and techniques in classroom instruction,
4. Develop, adapt and evaluate instructional materials for use in the different
areas of specialization,
5. Prepared lesson plan and present lesson through micro-teaching and
macro-teaching.

Course Description
This course will be divided into two major areas i.e. Curriculum and Instruction.
Section one will provide an overview of the principles, procedures and practices

in curriculum and syllabus design. The second section will focus on instruction
and instruction materials.

9. Instruction: Methods and Techniques of Instruction
10. Instructional Materials: Principles and Procedures in Instructional Material
Design
11. Instructional Materials Development and Adaptation
12. Evaluation of Instructional Materials
13. Micro-teaching

Teaching Methodology
The course will be conducted through lectures, discussions, presentations, case
studies and micro-teaching.
