Why RBI

Professionally: Equity research industry is primarily based on KPO/outsourcing

model. So even the best employers like GS and HSBC are also backends of their
parent entities, only one outta 10 after many years make it to the front end, and
that means you have to move out of the country. Else you end up working for
external clients, doing basic stuff and a bit value add, but wont get recognition
for your effort, your name wont be on the cover of any report. You are
essentially, just a cog in the wheel
Besides that, layoffs are common, when-ever markets are doing badly, ppl are
fired. The first company I worked in, closed down the division I was part of.
I want to be in a position where my work directly contributes to the economic
development of India, not a by product. And where my work is valued and has
direct impact.
On the personal front, I want more stability and work-life balance. I will be
married soon, and being the only child, the responsibilities will only increase with
time, and to fulfil them Ill need time. Also, I want to be part of NGOs like teach
for India etc, they need LT commitment.

personal accts, financial modelling class at Pristine. GDPI classes for basic eco
and interview/GDPI

CFA had done mba from a not so famous college, so to restore the diluted brand,
went ahead, since its gold standard in finance, good to have at least in finance

all asset classes fundamentals. L2 is all abt accounting and equity

valuation. Basics of Stats and Eco, corp fin. L3 is all about investment.
