Description

1.3.1

General Description
The Service Gas(N2) System Consists of;
288 Bottles capacity Service Gas(N2) System
288 nitrogen gas cylinders, cylinder valves and safety device, each containing N2 gas (137
barg at 35).
18 nitrogen gas cylinder racks for 288 cylinders with manifold socket, flexible hose,
manifold stop valves, end cap & plug, line shut-off valve, pressure gauges, vent valves and
required internal piping.
Pressure Control Unit with skid, pressure reducing valves, safety relief valves, drain valves,
line shut-off valve, pressure gauges, and required internal piping.
The function of the Service Gas(N2) system are :
- To supply N2 gas for HP/LP Drum and Deaerator.

1.5 Operation
1.5.1

Preparation for operation

N2 cylinder assembly valves are opened.
- Check whether all cylinder valves are opened.
- Check whether the shut-off valve of each cylinder assembly is closed.

1.5.2

Operation procedure
When the preparation for operation is completed according to above 1.5.1
open the shut off valve of each cylinder assembly.

1.5.3 Gas equipment repair and cleaning procedure

1) When clean (or repair) the gas equipment, specify contents, schedule, person in charge and
working change section, safety action, required material.
2) Convey working schedule to person in charge and concerned person prior to working, then
carry working under the responsibility of person in charge.
3) Prior to cleaning (or repair) of facility, when gas is remained with certain amount in facility,
collect gas to other storage tank until inside gas pressure reach to near atmosphere, then
release remained gas slowly and safely.
