Abstract
I have mentioned the history of Adolf Hilter and his leadership styles. I have also shown his
positive and negative attributes of his leadership styles. And I have present how these leaders
handle conflict, resolution, management as well as empower others. Lastly I have presented how
I believe his leadership skills were effective.

Leadership style of Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April 1889 a town in Austria-Hungary. He is the one person who
has leadership qualities. His vision was dictating the world and he was the one who set World
War II. He administered fascist policies that resulted in millions of death. Adolph Hitlers main
objective was moving against treaty of Versailles creating single great German race. (manning &
curtis, 2009) Leadership style of Adolph Hitler was Autocratic. Autocratic leaders are mission
driven and focused on result that lead with their heart and are focused on long term. As they are
self-actualized individuals they show their real selves to their followers which result in the
smooth operation of works. Autocratic leaders have a genuine desire to serve others who are lead
from core values, they have courage and self-discipline. They are purpose driven and
trustworthy. As they have strong vision they can be able to identify the risks and problems in a
better way so that they can solve it. Hitler was a great orator who influenced every audience to
listen to his speech. . Moreover, Leader should also hold a charismatic personality, it helps to

enhance own personality and manage to inspire and also influence others (Adeniyi, 2007). And
Adolf Hitler has these qualities.

He was able to maintain legitimate power and change the mentality of German people. He
believed that German people should be given more priority and Jews should be removed from
the society. Hitler had a negative leadership style along with some best leadership qualities. His
negative approach was hazardous to both leader and followers. He was furious and reacted
unsympathetically towards the people who did not follow his orders and who are against him.
Autocratic leader is the managerial equivalent of an emergency room surgeon, forced to do
whatever it takes to save a patients life. (Schaeffer, 2003).

Positive and negative attributes of Adolf Hitler and his leadership styles:

He is confident and effective public speaker. He had a clear vision of taking over Germany and
dictating the whole world. He had ability to move his nation and gave nation a new purpose. He
posses great understanding of human nature and he knew how to utilize them to his personal
gain. While Hitler was a great orator, and that contributed to his ability to capture his audience, it
was his deep belief in what he was doing that moved the nation. He gave his nation a new
purpose and destiny and they were willing to follow him for it. He was really, really committed

to making Germany the world's superpower and committing genocide. He was in World War 1,
and had to experience the Great Depression. Clearly, this increases his chances as a political
leader. He experienced firsthand what everyone else had to see and feel.

He killed millions of innocent people in order to get ride from Jews. The German people had
tough time while Hitler ruling the country. Many people had very poor living conditions. They
were treated like non-human; they were given hardly any clothes and barely any food. His
actions resulted in the deaths o millions of innocent for not having blonde hair and blue eyes. So,
I think Hitler is definitely a danger person due to the horrible actions that he took to the Jews
because of their race and actions that he performed during World War II. He wanted everyone to
live their life but by his order. So even he has negative attributes.

Leaders handle conflict, resolution, management as well as empower others:

Adolf Hitler was an autocratic leader. This type of leader don't possess ego in them they perform
task focusing on result. Communicating in a direct manner is critical to successful outcomes
which are done with empathy. This helps to maintain a strong bonding between a leader and
his/her followers. . For Hitler, every point had to be consistent and right. He didnt trust anyone
and he made decision with own ideas and experience. He assigned task according to the
capabilities of his army and forces them to build strong capabilities in them. (manning & curtis,

2009) His resolution did not include anyones views and opinion. . He was a selfish person who
can do anything for personal benefits and to get victory.

Effective leadership skills:

I believe Adolf Hitler was an effective leader in the sense that he has run the country effectively.
He was able to turn Germany into a country capable of world domination. He possessed
charisma that inspires devotion in order to do more and had ability to manipulated people in
order to achieve his vision. . He could use his words to twist and manipulate peoples mind into
believing that what he was saying using this power, he was able to get people to do anything for
him. He was charismatic, and a brilliant orator. By himself, he was able to shape an entire nation,
which is not even his nation of birth. He changed the mentality of the German people. One of his
main strengths that brought him into power. He had a lot of confidence thinking that he could
achieve his goals. Although in the end his confidencee was overturned, he did have it which is a
good characteristic of a leader. He is more powerful so every people listened at him. He wanted
others to do things for him and made them do what he told them to.

LEADERSHIP STYLE OF ADOLF HITLER

Conclusion
Hitler was an autocratic leader. He believed that German people should be given more priority
and Jews should be removed from the society. He had a negative leadership style along with
some best leadership qualities. His leadership lacks respected morals and relationship with his
followers which are why many denounce his leadership. He was extremely focused on his
personal control and harmed his followers as he lacks concern for others. He believed in giving
orders without considering others ideas and inputs. His leadership style had made the life of
people hard but he sure does have quality of effective leader.
