Visual

Storytelling:
A Creative
Approach

Ali Anani, PhD

Dr. Rodney King,

I dedicate this presentation to you.
I know it is imperfect. You wrote to
me "One becomes perfect by being
imperfect".
This presentation is about
storytelling, but in no know reflects
my deepest appreciation of your
teaching lesson.

If you dont
have a story
to grab
attention
most likely
you are fighting
a losing battle

It is easier to
interest people
with the story
of your product
than using
benefit charts
and statistics
tables

Storytelling
fuels hearts
and warms up
interest, if done
properly

But how
to grab
the
attention?

The story
must have
a conflict.
The more
intense the conflict
is, the more
interesting your
story is

Conflict is
a struggle
between two
opposing
forces

Both internal
and external
conflicts are
essential
elements of
a storyline.

It is vital for a storytelling to introduce

and build up conflict in order to reach
a story goal.

Consistency builds trust

A storyteller must gain
the trust of his/ her readers

To standardize the visuals, I suggest

using the same scale for all story
elements That is the PH (Acidity Scale)

What is pH?
pH is a scale measuring the acidity
and alkalinity of a product
The scale goes from zero (strongly acidic)
to 14 (strongly alkaline), 7 being neutral.
An acidic personality is generally critical,
hostile, or easily offended.

It belongs to the acidic part of the PH scale

An illustrative example
Negative ideas are acidic and sour;
whereas positive ones are alkaline (basic)

Do we need PH of around 7 for Food for thought?

allow seeing
