Lazy 5 Ranch

FY 2014

An Australian
Adventure

Letter from the President

Dear Fellow Stockholders,

Although we had a humble beginning, the Lazy 5 Ranch has grown to
become the home to over 750 animals from six different continents
Over 35 years ago, it all started in my very own barn with just one baby
giraffe named Jeff. School groups were invited to gaze at the animals
from the opposite side of the fence and through cracks of the barn doors.
Other groups decided to make loops through the driveway to get a
glimpse of the exotic animals. This experience opened the door to new
educational and entertaining possibilities.
Therefore, we came up with the idea of a park to share the full
experience with children and adults alike. After years of planning and
hard work, the park was finally opened on May 22, 1993. With only five
staff members, two buildings and only two operating wagons, the Lazy 5
Ranch was officially open for business.
It is because of our unpretentious history that we strive to educate in an
entertaining way, all while providing an excellent environment for the
reproduction of these beautiful animals. Today, these animals can be
viewed by a horse drawn wagon ride tour or from the comfort of your
own vehicle while travelling along a four-mile safari ride. The Lazy 5
Ranch features exotic animals ranging from Gravy Zebra, Scimitar
Horned Oryx, and Ring-tailed Lemur.
We are positive the Lazy 5 Ranch has a bright future because there is so
much to be learned from the many amazing creatures residing on the
ranch.

Letter from the President

In order to continue to provide such an entertaining and educational

experience, we plan to expand the ranch to include exotic creatures in a
wider variety. We will also provide informational packets on each animal
explaining in detail their origin along with each unique quality. I sincerely
believe these measures will help enhance and further the education of all
of our visitors.
This past year was our best yet. What made the difference is all the
support we have gained from all of our stockholders. It is our mission to
continue to grow and exceed last years success.
We will do so by increasing the average number of daily visitors to the
ranch, as well as increasing the length of the safari ride by two extra
miles. We will remain dedicated to this mission because we understand
the importance of sharing the different species this earth has to offer
