Common Safety Instructions for Tubes

Be sure to read following instructions before selecting and using the VAC devices. Also read the detailed
instructions for individual series.

Warning

1. Do not give excessive tension, twist or bending to the Tube. Such forces may cause the crushing, breakage
or falling out of the Tube.
2. Protect the Tube against damage from abrasion or twining. Otherwise the Tube may break.
3. Never use tubes other than spatter tube where the tube is exposed to spatter. Spatter can cause fire.
4. For the usage of VAC Tubes, please use VAC fittings or the one in accordance with Industrial standards.
5.

When the water is used in certain condition, be careful not to let water freeze.

6. Please avoid using the tubes having cracks, surface damage, collapsed, kinked parts and so forth.
7. The tubes cannot be used for active gas such as oxygen, hydrogen, LPG and so forth.
8. There is no guarantee for the tubes treated by someone except VAC.
9. The burst pressure of tubes depend upon the temperature, so always refer to the graph showing the
relationship between temperature and maximum running pressure.
10. Never use tubes other than antistatic tube where the system must be protected from static electricity or
charging. Static electricity may cause malfunction and other troubles with the system.

Caution

1. When bending the tube, observe the

minimum radius requirement.
2. In piping, provide sufficient lengths of tube
in consideration of possible shrinkage.
3. Before connecting a tube to the fitting, make
certain that the tube end is cut at right
angles, the tube is free from flaws, and the
tube cross section is not elliptical.
4. Note that the effective sectional area changes
with tube length. For long piping, be sure to
choose a proper effective sectional are for
piping by consulting the below chart.

Nylon Tubings

VAC Nylon Tubing is chararacterised by a combination of high strength, toughness and abrasion
resistance and is ranked as an Engineering plastic. Nylon, also known as polyamide. This is because of
its unique balance of mechanical, thermal, frictional and chemical properties. Nylon behaves in a
predictable, reproducible manner under load and in known environments. Nylon components retain
their high level of performance and engineering properties in long terms applications even at comparitively
high temperatures.
Because of its unique combination of physical & chemical properties VAC Nylon tubings have many
diversified applications, available in both Semi Flexible & Super Flexible grades & made out of respective
grades of PA-6 & PA-12.
