Weekly Readings
It is night, the disciples are fishing for their food but catch nothing.
With the sunrise, Jesus directs their efforts and they find great success. Some say 153 represents all people, the universalism of
Christs invitation. The net, the church does not tear with the
abundance of diversity. This encounter with Jesus at breakfast
strengthens and nourishes the disciples to carry out the mission of
proclaiming Gods mercy, which invites all to be united in Christ.
