Weekly Readings

It is night, the disciples are fishing for their food but catch nothing.
With the sunrise, Jesus directs their efforts and they find great success. Some say 153 represents all people, the universalism of
Christs invitation. The net, the church does not tear with the
abundance of diversity. This encounter with Jesus at breakfast
strengthens and nourishes the disciples to carry out the mission of
proclaiming Gods mercy, which invites all to be united in Christ.

3rd Sunday of Easter

A Word from Our Ministry Team

PRIEST reassignmentsFr. ed

After eight years as the Director here at the UCC

I will be moving on to another assignment at the
end of June. The plan right now is that by Fall
2017, if not sooner, I will be taking over as Director of Campus Ministry at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. This will allow me to be
closer to my mom who turns 83 this summer.
She will only be a three-hour drive away. This fall I will be taking a
sabbatical at the Redemptorist Retreat Center in Tucson, AZ. In
the 27 years of my priesthood, I have not had a sabbatical, and
while I will miss continuing in the ministry here, I look forward to
renewing my spiritual life with a ten week course on spirituality
and prayer in the midst of the Arizona desert :)
