What: Freshie Night 2010 a.k.a.

“Gleeter”
Who: for 2015 and 2017; by 2014 and 2016
When: June 10, 2010 (Thursday); 7-9pm: program proper, 9-11pm: free dance/interaction time
Where: Tipunan
Theme: Glee (Stereotypes of medical students)

*** The whole program is subdivided into 4 segments, each segment corresponding to a particular
stereotype: (1) Gleek - nerds/geeks/intellects, (2) Gleemo - emo/goth/rebel, (3) Energlee-
sporty/jocks/cheerleaders, (4) Gleemorous - cool/preppy/rich/elite. The allotted time for each segment
is 30 minutes. Our main objective is to have a PARTY that would MAXIMIZE INTERACTION amongst the
freshies.

ORGANIZATION PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES

1. An organization can sponsor either a GAME or an INTERMISSION NUMBER either of which with the
time limit of 5 MINUTES.
2. An organization can have an AVP with a MAXIMUM time limit of 1 MINUTE (an organization could
choose whether to play this ‘on-loop’ during their performance (no deduction from their 5-minute time
limit) OR play this before their performance but get the necessary time deductions from their 5-minute
time limit.).
3. The basic flow of the Freshie Night is as follows:

Segment 1: Gleek

Segment 5: Band numbers and Party time!!! (Bands from organizations are welcome to
participate during this time. Participation should however, be confirmed long beforehand)

4. An organization’s intermission number is STRICTLY to adhere to the theme of the segment in which
their number/game falls under. Determination of whether an organization would do a game or
intermission number and determination of which segment/stereotype an organization prefers would
come on a first-come-first served basis.

5. Hosting segments and Games are to be used as transition periods – times when an organization can
prepare for their intermission number (i.e. fix props and costumes, band set, do sound check, etc.). A
band set would be provided, further details on what are included in that set would be given a-sap. Other
non-performing members of an organization cannot and may not mingle with the freshies. They are to
stay outside a cord that’d be set up on the night of the program.

6. “Sibling” Fraternities and Sororities may opt to take both performances from the same segment.
Arrangements would have to be made as this would again come in a first-come-first-served basis.

7. For those organizations who are to sponsor games, you would have the liberty to choose any type of
game given that it would fit in the 5-minute time frame provided. Games however should not be
salacious nor profane in any manner. Organizations are required to provide prizes to be given to their
winners. An organization itself is the one responsible in attracting people to join their game; however,
2014 would gladly aid them too in doing so.

7. Deadline of confirmation of participation is on May 5, 2010, Wednesday. Kindly indicate whether you
would like to either sponsor a game or do an intermission number. Also, indicate which segment your
organization prefers to be in. Furthermore, indicate the number of expected performers there are for
those who would do intermission numbers and the number of game-masters to conduct their game
for those sponsoring games. Kindly contact Bryan Mesina @ 09283644726

8. AVPs to be used are to be submitted at least one week before June 10, 2010.

9. Audio pieces to be used for the intermission numbers are to be submitted also at least one week
before June 10, 2010.

10. There are 10 slots for 10 organizations: 6 slots for performances and 4 for games.
Detailed breakdown:

Segment 1: Gleek = 1 performance, 1 game

Segment 2: Gleemo = 2 performances, 1 game

Segment 3: Energlee = 2 performances, 1 game

Segment 4: Gleemorous = 2 performances, 1 game

Note: One performance slot is reserved for Medical Studend Council (MSC) and the class gives priority to
Med Rhythmics and UP Med Choir since the said organizations are performing organization. Thus, only
six slots are left for performances.

11. An organization can avail of advertisement pages from 2014’s freshie primer. To those who would
also like to sponsor prizes for our raffles are much welcome to do so. Kindly contact Arianne Agdangan
@ 09285059135.
