• The EPA rigorously tested the Tideflex® valve for two years and found that the
Tideflex® valve showed significant improvement over flap gate valves in terms
of leakage inflow, entrapment of debris, capability to self clean and
susceptibility to marine fouling. “Results of the project indicate that the rubber
tide gate can provide low maintenance and reliable performance as a cost
effective alternative to conventional tide gates.”

Cracking pressure
of the Tideflex®
is 1-2 inches of water.
Tideflex® valves
discharge with just a
1-2 inches differential
pressure which allows the
pipe to self-drain, thereby
increasing storage capacity.
Large stormwater
pumping stations use
Tideflex® Check Valves
to ensure that tail water
does not backflow into
stormwater catchments.
The all-rubber
construction of the
Tideflex® Check Valve is
ideal for marinas where
fuel and oil spills can
destroy metal valves.
Combined Sewer

Sewer Overflows rely
heavily on the Tideflex®
Check Valve to prevent
