Banking Surveillance Department is responsible to monitor risk profiles, evaluate operating performance of
individual banks & the industry as a whole while issuing guidelines for managing various types of risks. It
ensures that banks are adequately capitalized & have policies & systems in place to assess various risks. It also
prepares and publishes periodical reviews / assessment of Banking Systems performance & its future outlook.
To further strengthen its team, BSD is aimed to hire professionals for the Karachi Based positions of Officer
Grade-4 and 3.

Assistant Directors (OG-3) / Junior Joint Directors(OG-4)


Job Summary
Their key responsibilities will include to:
Provide guidance to Banks and DFIs to put in place adequate Risk Management Systems and Financial
Disclosures / monitoring compliance thereof. Prescribe measures for managing/mitigating these risks.
Prepare periodical reviews and assessment of Banking Systems performance and its future outlook,
Conduct stress testing for assessment of resilience of the banking sector and also analyze banking sector
exposures to major borrowing Groups/Companies
Collect & disseminate credit related information from and to financial Institutions to facilitate their credit
appraisal process.
Correspond with financial institutions and other stakeholders

Job Qualification
Education: MBA / MPA / Masters degree in Finance / Commerce, Economics or equivalent qualification from
HEC recognized university. Professional qualification in accounting and finance with a background of
banking /financial analysis and risk management would be preferred.
Experience: At least 05 years for OG-4 (minimum 2 years relevant experience of financial analysis and risk
management) and 03 years for OG-3 positions.
Age: Maximum 40 years for OG-4 and 35 years for OG-3 on the last date of submission of applications.

Compensation Package

Negotiable monthly monetized salary in the salary scale of OG-4 (Rs.50,000 to Rs.150,000) &
OG-3 (34,000 to 120,000) in commensuration with the experience and qualification of the candidate.

Competencies
Strong writing and analytical skills
Excellent MS Office skill is essential with special command over Financial Modeling.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, shared services environment
Ability to work under pressure and influence others to ensure service is delivered within targets.
Good team work orientation.
