5 minutes Summary/Closing:
Wrap up the activity by going asking students if they enjoyed math meeting and if they would
like to use the Smart Board again. Ask students what other things or subjects do they believe the
SMART Board can be used for. Ask them was the new incorporation of the thermometer helpful
when rounding to the nearest 10th degree. What were some advantages or disadvantages it had
when discussing math meeting? What other things that they would like to incorporate into math
meeting to make it fun and useful?
Informal assessment have students tell what they learned by using the SMART Board. Make
sure that as the lesson is going on all students are participating and paying attention. Raising
their hands when they are called on and respecting their class mates who are talking.
