Programming Guide

System Programming
A display PT (KX-T7735, KX-T7730 or KX-T7335) is required for system programming.

Using the Overlay


A programming overlay is packed with the telephone at the factory.
This overlay should be used at all times during programming. The features of the telephone
keys change during programming as follows. (The original features are in parentheses.)

Programming Guide

Viewing the Display


The display gives you helpful information, such as the next step, previous entries, etc.
The KX-T7735 utilizes two information lines for programming.
The KX-T7730 utilizes one information line for programming.
The display capacity is 16 digits. If your entry is longer than 16 digits, the user can scroll the
display by pressing the Navigator Key ( ), or the

System Speed Dialing Name Set (Additional)

Description
Assigns names to the system speed dialing numbers assigned in program [001] System
Speed Dialing Number Set. Display telephones can show the stored number during System
Speed Dialing.

Speed dial number: 000 through 499
Name: 10 characters (max.)

Enter a speed dial number.
To enter speed dial number 000, you can also press NEXT.

Enter a name.
For entering characters, please refer to 1.4 Entering Characters in the Programming Guide
To delete the current entry, press CLEAR.
To change the current entry, press CLEAR and enter the new name.
Press STORE.
To program another speed dial number, press NEXT or PREV, or SELECT and the
desired speed dial number.
Repeat steps 4 through 6.
Press END.

Conditions
Speed dial numbers are programmed in program [001] System Speed Dialing Number Set.
Each name has a maximum of 10 characters.
To go to another speed dial number in steps 3 through 6, press SELECT and start with step 3.

flashing when an extension is in use or
1 : disable
idle, and one of the following occurs:
An intercom call is incoming to the
extension and Call Waiting Tone 1 is
assigned.

incoming to the extension.
An outside (CO) call with Caller ID
information is incoming to the
extension.
A doorphone call from any doorphone
and a doorbell/door chime is selected.
This programming is available for the
KX-T77 series only.
