Dear Sir,

1. Refer to discussions held between Mr. Rajendran, Area Sales

Manager and the undersigned on 11 Feb 2010 on the subject matter.

2. The station URC (Unit Run Canteen) is catering for the

requirements of the Service Personnel / Ex-Servicemen in Ramnad
District view being the only canteen in the region. The strength of
personnel attached to the station URC is around 1500, which is likely
to increase in due course.

3. It is submitted that the station is in the process of

expansion/renovation of the URC, wherein separate liquor and Grocery
counters will be made with adequate facilities to meet the future
demands. As a part of this, a new waiting shed has been made in front
of the canteen for the comfort of personnel coming from far flung
areas. Also provision of refreshments is made available to them.

4. Further, it is proposed to install hot and cold water dispenser at

the waiting shed and some wooden benches for the personnel.

5. In order to materialise the above proposal, I look forward for kind

support and sponsorship of your esteemed organisation for following:-
 a) Provision of hot/cold water dispenser (Voltas) - 01
b) Wooden Bench (5 feet each) - 04

6. An early action in this regard is highly solicited.

Dear Sir,

1. Refer to your visit to this Station canteen on 12 Feb 2010 and

discussions held with undersigned on subject matter.

2. The station URC (Unit Run Canteen) is catering for the

requirements of the Service Personnel / Ex-Servicemen in Ramnad
District view being the only canteen in the region. The strength of
personnel attached to the station URC is around 1500, which is likely
to increase in due course.

3. At present, the URC cannot be stocked up to the optimum due to

paucity of space. Accordingly, the Station is in process of
expansion/renovation of the URC, wherein separate liquor and Grocery
counters will be made with adequate facilities to meet the future
demands. The new proposed set up is aimed to increase the stock
holding and provide quick delivery together with better services by
introducing self service facility. Further, it is likely to enhance sales to
great extent.

4. Most of the requirements associated with shifting and conversion

of grocery section into a wide spread self service extension/counter are
complete. However, the Station is finding it difficult to arrange for the
installation of Air Conditioners, due to limitation of funds/resources
available at the disposal.

5. I therefore look forward for kind support and sponsorship of your

esteemed organisation for supply/ provision of 04 in number split air
conditioners (2 tons capacity) to enable timely completion of above
project.

6. It is submitted that a separate space/corner has been earmarked

in the new set up for display/sale of Nestle products.

7. An early action in this regard is highly solicited.

COOKERY DEMONSTRATION FOR CGWWA LADIES

2. CGWWA (Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association) is the body

comprising wives of uniformed Indian Coast Guard personnel in the
country. The organization looks after the welfare of the ladies and
conducts various educational courses/training/program. The strength
of this Station CGWWA members is 52.

3. The Station being located in the far flung /remote area the
opportunities available for interaction and training of CGWWA
members are limited. Though Nestle products are widely used in each
and every house, however ladies are ever keen to learn more recipes
and sharpen their culinary skills.

4. I therefore request you to kindly arrange a visit of your staff to

this Station at 1000 hrs on 10 Mar 2010 for training and demonstration
of Nestle products recipes to the CGWWA ladies.

5. The arrangement for the stay of your staff will be provided by the
Station. Further, associated facilities viz. cooking, utensils, PA system,
hall etc will also be made available by the Station.

3. The Station has obtained certain assets through sponsorship from

various firms towards this end. Station letter of even no. dated 19 Mar
10 is relevant in this regard. Further, M/S Hindustan Unilever Limited
has agreed to sponsor the side and the center racks for the same.
Accordingly, the firm has placed order for manufacturing and supply of
racks to M/S M/S Accura Shelving Systems Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai as per
approved drawing (copy of drawing enclosed).

4. Most of the requirements associated with shifting and conversion

of grocery section into a wide spread self service extension/counter are
complete. However, following items are yet to be procured to facilitate
full fledged functioning of new set up:-

5. A market survey for the suitable items has been carried out by
this unit and the total cost of procurement and installation comes to
Rs. (Rupees ) .The billing counters are proposed to be procured
through M/S Accura Shelving Systems Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, the firm
providing the side and center racks, as the same will be tailor made to
suit the space/other requirements and will get transported along with
racks on M/S Hindustan Unilever Limited account with no additional
transportation charges. Quotations in respect of above items are
enclosed herewith.

6. The status of Station URC funds as on – May10 is as under:-

expenditure of Rs. (Rupees ) from Station Canteen Liquor Fund,
towards purchase of said items.
