Abstract
The following article is to measure the resistance A
copper wire AWG 12 By, An electrical circuit a from
the current and the Voltage (10V), addition find the
theoretical form, for that measurement the Resistance
Wire It is not Affected by other elements of the circuit
Should, Addition circuit mount Replacing the
capacitor, A copper wire scam, find an expression
That does not alter the Resistance Measurement
Condenser by the other elements of the circuit.
Index term: Ammeter, high resistor, low resistor
measurement, , voltmeter.

2. How it is possible to measure a low value resistance by

means of current and voltage measures?
Answers
There are two methods of measurement depending on
resistance value measurement setup. This chapter speak
of resistance ranging from micro ohms (low-ohmic) to
values that reach tenths ohms (high-ohmic). we will build
on the book: [1]

1. For the low ohmic.

I. INTRODUCTION

Importance of this article for science lies in The

Importance of raising solutions to problems That Arise in
an electrical circuit, Compare the theoretical value of
wire and capacitor, with one Found experimentally
through of an electric circuit taking into account the
relationship Among the elements of the electrical circuit
using the voltage and current measurements. Which it
demonstrates the diversity of methods and ways to solve
unknowns and find a circuit depending what is known
and unknown.

II. METHODOLOGY

1. Design an experimental setup in order to measure the

resistance of a copper wire, 1 m long, caliber 12 AWG at
10 V by means of current and voltage measures.
2. Design an experimental setup in order to measure the
resistance of a capacitor by means of current and voltage

IV. THEORETICAL CALCULATIONS

For the resistor of the cable it should take into account

the length, diameter and material of the cable to be used
in the first system, since it is the cable resistance that we
will find.

Design 1

In our case the cable will use is a copper wire, 1 m long,

caliber 12 AWG. Cable resistance is calculated by the
equation:
R=

Where:

According to Question 1 to measure very low resistor, the

circuit of Figure 3 is used

: resistivity of the material

L: cable length
S: cross sectional area

Design 2

Equation 1 we have:
:1,71*10-8 *m
S : of the copper wire: 3.31*10-6m
L: 1 metter

R = 1.71 108

R = 5.16 103

V. DESIGN

First at all it will be used a fluke multimeter 175, for that

reason the student is going to use this table, following the
circuit. It should take into account the resistance of
pomona supply cables and they have a resistance of
8.31 * 10-6 .

According to Question 2 to measure very high resistor,

the circuit of Figure 4 is used

VI. SIMULATION

To find the value of the unknown resistance, we must

take into account the value we measured the voltmeter
and the value we measured the ammeter.

In the first case we find the resistance value very low.
From the figure 7 we have:

In the other case we find the resistance very high
