CL Smart CAT Cracker (SCC) Offline Course Overview

Smart CAT Cracker Offline is a mobile based preparation program for CAT'14
aspirants. It can be accessed on all Android devices or Chrome browsers. SCC
captures the teachings of GP and team, the super gurus of aptitude training.
Students can access course content available on pen drive only through CL
SmartCATCracker Android / Chrome apps available as free download on play
store.

Smart CAT Cracker Offline - Installation Guide

This installation guide is intended for both trail users and paid users of Career
Launcher - Smart CAT Cracker Offline course.
Before proceeding further please ensure that you have Smart CAT Cracker
course content with you.
Trail users:
Please download SCC trail course content on your desktop from http://media.careerlauncher.com.s3.amazonaws.com/scc/CAREERLAUNCHER_
TRIAL.zip
Paid Users:
Please keep your SCC pen drive received from CL handy.

Setting up SCC on Chrome desktop app

Step 1: Install CL SmartCATCracker Free Chrome Desktop Application from
Google web store

Step 2: Open application and login with username and password that is sent to
your mail by Career Launcher. In case if you have not received any mail please
send your query to helpme@careerlauncher.com

Step 4: This instruction screen will appear only for trail users. Read
instructions and click on <GO TO SYNC> button

Step 3: Insert pen drive to your desktop and select CAREERLAUNCHER folder
from the pen drive. If you are a trail user please browse and select
CAREERLAUNCHER folder from your downloaded trail course package. Click on
SYNC button

Step 4: You will be taken to data synchronization screen as shown below. This
might take several minutes depending on system configuration.

Step 5: Upon successful copy and sync process you will see a success message as
shown below. Click on <GET STARTED>.
Note: You might see appropriate success screen depending on the sections that
you have selected for synchronizing.

Setting up SCC on Android app

Step 1: Install CL SmartCATCracker free Android application from Android play
store

Step 2: Open application and login with username and password that is sent to
your mail by Career Launcher. In case if you have not received any mail please
send your query to helpme@careerlauncher.com

Step 3: Connect your mobile / tablet on your desktop and copy

CAREERLAUNCHER folder from pen drive (for paid users) or from downloaded
trail course package (for trail users) to the topmost (root) folder of your mobile /
tablet device.

Step 4: Click on SYNC button to setup SCC course for offline usage.

Step 5: Upon successful copy and sync process you will see a success message as
shown below. Click on <Continue>.
Note: You might see appropriate success screen depending on the sections that
you have selected for synchronizing.

Switching from trail user to paid user

This process is applicable for trail users who are using the application and have
purchased full version of SCC offline course.
Step1: Please logout from both desktop and android application. Please note that
upon logout all your course content will be erased from local device. So please
ensure that you are doing this operation only when you have purchased full SCC
content.

Step2: Please follow procedures as mentioned in sections Setting up SCC on

Chrome desktop app & Setting up SCC on Android app for setting up paid
SCC content.

Synchronizing partial SCC course

You can copy partial SCC course content on to your local device in case if you
have limited memory on your devices.
The complete SCC course content is structured as below in your pen drive.

You can access independent SCC sections by copying individual sections along
with parent folders like CAREERLAUNCHER/SMARTCATCRACKER/SMARTDI,
CAREERLAUNCHER/SMARTCATCRACKER/SMARTLR and so on to your
preferred devices. When copying to mobile / tablet device please ensure that
CAREERLAUNCHER folder is under topmost (root) directory of the device.

Trail user trying to sync paid SCC content

In case if a trial user tries to synchronize complete SCC paid content then he will
see following unsuccessful message. Trail users will not be able to synchronize
paid SCC course content.

In case if a paid user tries to synchronize trail SCC content then he will see
following unsuccessful message. Paid users will not be able to synchronize trail
SCC course content.

Trouble Shooting Guide

This section addresses some of the possible errors that students might
encounter while using CL SmartCATCracker application.

Course content not accessible after sync process

Possible remedies
1. Depending on your system configuration indexing of course content
might take few minutes after sync process. Please allow 2-5 mins in case if
you face problem playing video lessons immediately after sync process.
2. Please ensure that you have not deleted/modified/renamed any course
content provided on pen drive or from trail package. If you have done so
please revert any such changes made and resync with original SCC course
content.
3. If you still face problems accessing video lessons or PDFs then try
restarting the application.
Note: Please do not logout. Instead just kill/close the app and start again.

Video lessons not playing or application getting hanged

Possible remedies
1. Video lesson loading time (usually it takes about 8 sec - 20 sec) and
smooth functioning of app depends on your system/device configuration.

We strongly recommend using systems / devices with following

configuration.
Android smart phone / tablet with android version 4.0+ and with 2+ GB
internal memory.
Desktop/Laptop with 2+ GB RAM and 2+ GHz processor.
2. Close applications that you are not using this will free up system
resources and helps speedup CL SmartCATCracker app.
3. If you still face problems accessing video lessons or PDFs then try
restarting the application.
Note: Please do not logout. Instead just kill/close the app and start again.

Diagrams in quiz sections are not displaying

Possible remedies
1. On some low/mid level mobile devices you might see
diagrams/charts/images missing in quiz section. Move to next or
previous question and then back to the actual question. When you revisit
the question you will see the diagram.
