Assalamulaikum and a very good morning/evening to my

respective lecturer. My name is Noraziah bt Abdul Aziz from

SK. Seri Iskandar and I have been teaching for more
than ............years. As a teacher, I realize that it is not an easy
going profession and my duty is not just to educate the young
new generation but I have to fulfil the trust given by the
society and keep the name of my profession in a high level.
That is why , teachers must have an ideal characters in order
to provide high qualities services to the publics especially the
students.
Firstly . In my own point of view, to become an ideal teacher
,one must have the courage to fulfil the pupils needs in
learning. Teachers should be responsible to the task accorded
and implement whatever changes has been made by the
Ministry of Education. Teachers should study and understand
the needs of the curriculum in detail as to implement it in
school. An ideal teacher should have good effort towards the
philosophy and objectives of the curriculum too.
Then, I also think , an ideal teacher is one who can be a good
motivator to her pupils. Due to this, teachers should realize
that rather than teaching in class, a teacher has to account for
other duties such as a counsellor or motivator to the pupils
.Pupils from different background requires different kind of
motivation. A good motivator should be able to overcome the
pupils problems especially in the learning process and prepare
them with good values of attitude to face the new challenges.
Another character of an ideal teacher is loving and caring.
With the fact that we are handling children, thus we cannot run
away from being caring and loving towards them. Children need
the attention, appreciation, love and care from their teachers.
With these, pupils will appreciate whatever given by the
teachers and through these pupils will have the confidence to
become good, well-behaved students and be able to face and
accept new challenges.

Some say that teachers are childrens role model , so in my

opinion, this is another character needed to become an ideal
teacher. Teachers behaviour is an example to pupils. With this
in mind, teachers must posses creditable characters which
would become good examples for pupils to follow. As such ,
teachers need to wear neatly , always be in good poise ,
polite , good manners , always puncture, diligence and possess
positive attitude towards all duties and trust given by the
school and ministry .
In conclusion, there are many ways to be an ideal teacher.
There are also many views of how an ideal teacher should be.
As for me, teachers need to equip themselves with adequate
knowledge, determination, enthusiasm, positive attitude and
the willingness to adapt changes arising from education
reforms from time to time in order to fulfil the needs of the
education and become a person who is respected by the
students and public as well.
