The AES Puerto Rico Total Energy

Project is Puerto Ricos first-ever coal
fired power plant and one of its first
independent power producers (IPP).
Developed by the AES Corporation,

the plant is located on an 80-acre site

approximately 5 km west of
Guayama in the southeastern region
of Puerto Rico. Equipped with two
250 MW ALSTOM CFBs, as well as

an assortment of back-end emissions

control equipment, it will cleanly burn
low sulfur coals imported from South
America and other sources.
