STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

FOR COMPUTER SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT

1. PURPOSE: To describe the minimal requirements for computer


hardware and software needed for analysis of PulseNet PFGE gels.
2. SCOPE: This procedure applies to all PulseNet participating
laboratories analyzing PFGE gels.
3. DEFINITIONS/TERMS:
a. PFGE: Pulsed-field Gel Electrophoresis
b. BioNumerics: Gel analysis software used by PulseNet,
developed by Applied Maths, Belgium
c. CDC: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
4. RESPONSIBILITIES/PROCEDURE:
a. Participating laboratories must use the following software and
hardware
b. BioNumerics Software v3.0, v3.5, v4.01, or v5.0
c. CDC PulseNetmasterscripts
d. Personal computer equipped with an Intel Pentium CPU or
better, 256 MB RAM or more, 65 Kcolor graphics or better and
Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, or higher
e. Keyboard, mouse, CD-ROM
f. High resolution screen 1024x768 or higher; true color
g. Large screen recommended (17" or more)

STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE


CHANGE THE HARDDISK
PURPOSE :
To give rules to order replace the harddisk in order to perform correctly.
SCOPE :
These rules are made to figure out how to replace the harddisk.

INTRUCTIONS :

Un plug all the cables that exist on the CPU.

Then provide the tools used

Open the CPU cassing with a screwdriver.

Remove all the screws on the CPU cassing was.

Then after an open cassing unplug the connector to the power supply and ATA slots,
loose bolts on the harddisk, take the harddisk.

And replace with a new harddisk, than reinstall the cable connector and bolts
removed earlier.

Plug it back cassing which opened earlier.

Than attech all cables to the CPU, than turn.


MONITORING :
Before conducting thetechnician must know the existing procedures.
CORRECTIVE ACCTION :
If the harddisk cant be read, the cable may need to be spliced or replaced.
VERIVICATION AND RECORD KEEPING :
Technician should record the date, day, and mounth. Tools are used in the procedure.
The record must be kept for 1 year.

CHANGE RAM

PUPOSE :
To give rules to other replace the RAM in order to perform correctly.
SCOPE :
These rules are made to figure out how to replace he RAM.

INTRUCTIONS :

Unplug all the cables that exist on the CPU.


Make sure there is no power supply to the CPU.
Open one CPU cassing with a screwdriver.
Remove all the screw on the CPU cassing was.
If it is, open the looking slots of RAM.
Replace the faulty RAM with new RAM with the e capasity.
RAM plug properly and close the lock RAM.
Plug it back assing which opened earlier.
Then attach all cables to the CPU, than turn.
MONITORING :
Before conducting the technician must know the exsting procedures.
CORRECTIVE ACTION :
If you make a mistake so check back if you still can not take it to the nearest service.
VERIVICATION AND RECORD KEEPING :
Technician should record the date, day, tools are used in the procedure. The record
must be kept for 1 year.

CLEANING CPU

Purpose : The user can clean CPU correctly


Scope : This procedure is applied for the user of cpu
Keywords :CPU,cleaning,chasing
Intruction :
1.

Wear overall (wearpack) and pray before do activity.

2.

Prepare the tools

3.

Make sure the cpu not connected with current electric.

4.

Open the chasing cpu.

5.

Unplug the component from cpu.

6.

Loosen the screw on motherboard and unplug the motherboard.

7.

Clear RAM with brush or eraser.

8.

Clean component with the small brush.

9.

Clean chasing with brush or duster.

10. Assemble component cpu and put in chasing.


11. Check cpu by turning cpu.
Monitoring :
The user has followed the procedure.
Must knowledge procedure and technition must record tools,day,date and name user in
the procedure.
Corrective Action :
If the component broken, reply the procedure and cleaning cpu gently.
Verification and record kepping :
The technition should record day,date,tools and name users,the man corrects the
problem. The record must be kept for 1 year.

UPGRADE POWER SUPPLY
1) Purpose :
To make subtitution or upgrade power supply in the personal computer correctly.
2) Scope
:
This procedure is applied for the technician of personal computer.
3) Key words :
Upgrade, Power Supply
4) Instructions :
The technician has followed the procedure
Wear overall ( wear pack ) and pray before do activity
Prepare the tools and material
Make sure the CPU not connected with current electric
Loosen the screw on the cassing by scroll driver
Open the cassing CPU
Loosen the screw on the power supply
Unplug power cable from the motherboard
Take the power supply
Subtitution or upgrade powersupply and plugpower cable in the motherboard
Fasten the screwon the power supply
Close the cassing CPU
Next, fasten the screw on the cassing CPU
And than, Try out the CPU
Finally, CPU can to do it.
5) Monitoring :
The technician has followed the procedure
6) Corrective Action :
If the power supply can not do it, check power cable in the motherbaord. Make sure the
power cable plug correctly.
7) Verification and Record Keeping :
The technician should record day, date, tools,and name user. The record must be kept 1
year.

SERVING FOOD

PURPOSE: To prevent foodborne illness by ensuring that all foods are served in a sanitary
manner.
SCOPE: This procedure applies to foodservice employees who serve food.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Train foodservice employees on using the procedures in this SOP. Refer to the Using and
Calibrating Thermometers SOP.
2. Follow State or local health department requirements.
3. Follow the employee health policy. (Employee health policy is not included in this
resource.)
4. Wash hands before putting on gloves, each time the gloves are changed, when changing
tasks, and before serving food with utensils. Refer to the Washing Hands SOP.
5. Avoid touching ready-to-eat foods with bare hands. Refer to the Using Suitable Utensils
when Handling Ready-To-Eat Foods SOP.
6. Handle plates by the edge or bottom; cups by the handle or bottom; and utensils by the
handles.
7. Store utensils with the handles up or by other means to prevent contamination.
8. Hold potentially hazardous food at the proper temperature. Refer to the Holding Hot and
Cold Potentially Hazardous Foods SOP.
9. Serve food with clean and sanitized utensils.
10. Store in-use utensils properly. Refer to the Storing In-Use Utensils SOP.
11. Date mark and cool potentially hazardous foods or discard leftovers. Refer to the Date
Marking Ready-to-Eat, Potentially Hazardous Foods, and Cooling Potentially Hazardous
Foods SOPs.
MONITORING:
A designated foodservice employee will visually observe that food is being served in a
manner that prevents contamination during all hours of service.

Change RAM in Notebook HP

PURPOSE
: To change RAM the agreement with procedures that have been determined
SCOPE
: To only RAM in Notebook HP

INSTRUCTIONS :
Open the hood casing cover RAM.
Press the right and left lock RAM direction out.
Once a key is pressed out, then it will rise above the RAM position and tilt.
Withdraw its RAM.
Replace the RAM in slots of RAM available to the state oblique (last time took the position
of RAM)
Make sure the RAM is fitted and fixed into the RAM slots
Now press down the RAM (as previously locked RAM position) until it clicks.
Once installed, please close the RAM as before. And stay turn on the laptop as usual, due to
the addition or replacement of RAM does not need any installation
RAM 1 GB previously only been increased to 3 GB ..

:
When we do the replacement RAM in our HP Notebook supervised by SRIYOKO
S.KOM

replacement.
CORRECTIVE ACTION :

Crash After Installing New RAM


The fix:
- The possibility that you plug the ram is not compatible with your computer (unplug the ram)
Adding RAM But Not Detected
The fix:
- Make checks such as the previous case
- Ensure appropriate slot yan used, for example: SD RAM has a slot similar to RAM but
RD RD RAM, can not be detected even though could be mounted on the type of SD RAM
slot.
VERIFICATION and RECORD KEEPING :
