HCM Connect V1 Configuration - Controlled Availability


This service entitlement is currently available only to those customers who have been approved for the
HCM Connect V1 controlled availability program. This document covers information necessary to
configure HCM Connect V1, Oracles solution for managing the automated transfer of encrypted files
into and out of the Fusion HCM Cloud Service.
For additional information about the meanings of each section, refer to the following MOS article: HCM
Cloud Services Overview.

This service currently is limited to customers approved for the HCM Connect Cloud V1
controlled availability program.

This service entitlement provides key information necessary to install HCM Connect V1 in the
Oracle Cloud platform as a service (PaaS) Java Cloud Service environment where it is
hosted, and configures it to integrate with your Fusion HCM Cloud environment.

HCM Connect V1 allows you to create inbound and outbound integrations, and automate the

processes of file transfers by moving encrypted files between your servers and Oracle
WebCenter Content Server. The information you provide assures that HCM Connect V1 is
properly configured as Oracle installs it. This includes:

SFTP server IP addresses, if you are requesting SFTP support;

Information about the PaaS Java Cloud Service to which you are subscribed;

Identification of the encryption method you require.

Submit one SR for each HCM Cloud Service environment that will use HCM Connect.
Plan ahead. Two weeks minimum advance notification is recommended.
Service fulfillment requires all information requested in the SR template. Any delays due
to missing information will extend the estimated minimum processing time.

You log a Service Request (SR) to enable the HCM Connect Cloud V1 service by completing the
following steps.
1.

Log on to My Oracle Support (MOS).

2.

Select Create SR from the Services Requests section or tab.

3.

Under the What is the Problem? section, enter Problem Summary = Configure HCM Connect

Enter Problem Description = PaaS service name, identity domain and data center on which to install
HCM Connect V1.

Under the Where is the Problem? section, select the Cloud tab and enter the following:

Service Type: Oracle Fusion HCM Connect Cloud Service

Environment: Select the HCM Cloud Service environment that you want configured to use HCM
Connect V1

Problem Type: Hosting Services Application -> HCM Connect System Configuration Checklist

Support Identifier: Defaults to your CSI number.

Click Next and provide the Additional Information requested in the SR template.

Have you been approved to participate in the controlled availability program for HCM Connect V1? Yes /
No.

b.

If you are approved for the HCM Connect V1 controlled availability program, please provide your Sales
account contact Name, Email and Telephone.

c.

Is your PaaS environment provisioned? Yes / No. This is a prerequisite step. If Yes, please proceed and
answer all subsequent questions. If No, and if you have secured approval for the HCM Connect V1
controlled availability program, please contact your Oracle sales account representative for details on
purchasing the required Stage and Production PaaS Cloud service required.

d.

If you are requesting approval for SFTP, please provide the IP addresses (or range of IP addresses) from
which inbound transfer will originate or to which outbound transfers will be sent.
Note: If you are filing this SR to modify the SFTP IP addresses you previously submitted, you must
provide the complete list of revised IP addresses including those you previously submitted.

Provide all information requested to install HCM Connect V1 on your PaaS environment:
a.

Enter the PaaS service name, identity domain, and data center that will be paired with the HCM
Cloud service environment identified in this SR.
Note: A separate SR is required for each HCM Cloud Service environment that will be using
HCM Connect V1.

For security purposes, attach a separate file that contains:


i.

PaaS console URL

ii.

User ID/password for logging on to the PaaS console

Provide the following information for encryption/decryption:

What is the Encryption type (PGP, PGP X.509)?

Please attach the Encryption Public key.

iii.

What is the Encryption key size (2048 default, or 1024)?

Please provide Technical contact details (Email, Office phone number, Cell phone number) for
the individual who will be available to assist with any question that may arise, and can be
available to test this once it is configured.

Click Submit.
Note: Once the SR has been fulfilled, the SR will be closed, approximately 2 weeks after you provide all
mandatory information requested.

g.

Select Severity level 2. Any SR submitted for HCM Connect Configuration V1 Controlled Availability will
be treated as a non-severity 1, non-emergency issue. These requests are not production system or
service impacting issues, so please expect a slower turnaround on them.
