----------------------------------------------------------------------------Camtasia Studio is a suite of tools that allow you to record screen activity,
edit and narrate the clips, and publish the finished presentation in many
standard file formats and locations.
Camtasia Studio includes all the tools you need to record, annotate,
and produce your videos:
o Camtasia Studio
- Edit and produce videos in standard file formats
o Camtasia Recorder
- Make a video of anything on your screen
o Camtasia MenuMaker - Create a CD front end menu for your videos
o Camtasia Player
- Ensures high quality playback of your TSCC AVIs
o Camtasia Studio PowerPoint Add-in - Record PowerPoint presentations
----------------------------------------------------------------------------2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------To run Camtasia Studio, your system must meet these specifications:

Microsoft DirectX 9 or later version
Microsoft .NET 4.0 Client Profile (included)
Dual-core processor minimum ~ Recommended: Quad-core processor or better
2 GB RAM minimum ~ Recommended: 4 GB or more
GPU acceleration requires DirectX 9 compatible video adapter with 128 MB
of video memory or greater and Pixel Shader 2.0 or later
o 2 GB of hard-disk space for program installation
o Display dimensions of 1024x768 or greater
o Camtasia Studio Add-in for PowerPoint requires PowerPoint 2007 (32-bit)
or PowerPoint 2010 or 2013 (32-bit or 64-bit)

o Import of .mov and production to .mov and .m4v requires Apple

QuickTime 7.2 or later
o Dedicated Windows-compatible sound card, microphone and
speakers (recommended)
o Camera video recording requires a USB Web Camera. Recording live from a
DV camera is not supported
o Integration with Camtasia Relay requires Camtasia Relay Client Recorder

Double-click the file "camtasia.exe" and follow the on-screen
instructions.

3.3 Uninstall Instructions

1. Run the Windows Control Panel.
2. Open the Add/Remove Programs applet (Programs and Features applet on
Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8) from Control Panel.
3. Select Camtasia Studio 8 from the list of applications that can be
uninstalled by Windows.
4. Click the Add/Remove button (Uninstall button on Vista, Windows 7,
or Windows 8) to uninstall Camtasia Studio 8.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------4.1 Version history
v8.1.2 Maintenance Release
o Added a partial fix for an issue where the top half of WMV files shows up b
lack. This was caused by a recent Windows update, and we are working with Micro
soft toward a full fix.
o Fixed an installer bug which caused some 811 updates to fail, and resulted
in the 8.x release being completely uninstalled.
o Fixed a hang on exit which left Camtasia Studio running and unable be resta
rted until the hung instance was killed in Task Manager.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Camtasia Recorder generally cannot capture DVD video displays.
o Camtasia Recorder cannot always capture audio from other applications
(e.g. Windows Media Player) depending on your system's sound card and
drivers.

Camtasia Studio s online Help is available by selecting Help from
the menu bar of any application. Also, many context-sensitive Help
buttons are found in dialogs throughout Camtasia Studio.
Select About Camtasia Studio from the Help menu to display version and
registration information.
